Top Ten Tuesday #41

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Favorite Books of 2022

I’m so excited for today’s prompt. I’ve been thinking about my favorite books from last year all December. I’ve decided to exclude any rereads from my list. Otherwise, almost my entire list would be old favorites instead new ones. Here are my top ten favorite books from 2022:

  1. The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
  2. Anxious People by Frederik Backman
  3. Dear Emmie Blue by Lia Louis
  4. A River Enchanted by Rebecca Ross
  5. Every Summer After by Carley Fortune
  6. The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood
  7. The Magnolia Palace by Fiona Davis
  8. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
  9. Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney
  10. Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty
Honorable Mentions

I had quite a few 4-star reads this year. They made up most of my reading, actually. I’d be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge them.

What about you? Which books were your favorite reads from 2022? Do we have any in common?

Thanks, Ellie! 😀 Happy new year to you as well! I hope you enjoy A RIVER ENCHANTED when you do read it. I’m looking forward to diving in to the sequel soon-ish.

I was such a huge fan of Fangirl when it first released, mainly because I too used to write Harry Potter fanfiction and knew all about those particular obsessions. It’s been ages since I saw it on a rec list <3

That’s awesome! Simon Snow does have a lot of similarities to Harry Potter, doesn’t it? I tried to keep them separate, though, when I read her fanfic. LOL. 😀

Thanks, Kami! 😀 Hopefully, 2023 will be as good of a year as 2022 was reading-wise. I didn’t rate anything lower than 3 stars. That’s definitely a win! 😀

We talked about reading “The Midnight Library” in Book Club but then didn’t choose it. I think I need to read it on my own since it seems like one I would enjoy.
