Top Ten Tuesday #33

Books I Loved So Much I Bought Them
This week’s prompt is “Books I Love So Much I Bought a Personal Copy for my Library.” My library isn’t huge, but it isn’t small either. A lot of the books I have are ones I haven’t even read yet. LOL. However, there are quite a few that I bought because I loved them so much. Here are my top ten choices:

What about you? Which books did you love so much you had to buy a copy for your library? Do we have any in common?
I’ve loved several of those and want to read a couple more of them. There are special books that I pick up to re-read certain parts or the ending.
I love the reread certain parts and the ending too with specific books. FLATSHARE was one of those books. π
Fox in Socks is such a cute pick. I havenβt thought about that book in ages. π
My post: https://lydiaschoch.com/top-ten-tuesday-books-i-loved-so-much-i-had-to-get-a-copy-for-my-personal-library/
Fox in Socks is my all-time favorite Dr. Seuss book. I love reading it aloud to all the children in my life. π
I have physical copies of the Twilight series of my shelf, too. I can’t imagine ever reading the series again (in fact, I’m sure I won’t), but for some reason I keep hanging on to them. π
My copies of the Twilight Saga are all signed by Stephenie Meyer. They’re well-loved. I still reread the series and/or watch the movies every few years. It and Harry Potter are what got me reading. They’ll always have a special place in my heart. π
I didn’t love Dune but I do like a lot of the covers for that series. that one in particular is awesome. Dr seuss also π
Even though it makes me a little sad that you didn’t love Dune, I understand, lol. It’s just my favorite book of all-time. π
Is it really? Wow well now I feel bad for saying that lol. π
Yep, it is. I first read it in my sci-fi class in high school and my teacher really helped me love it. And, no need to feel bad. We all have our different likes. π
Oh, Edenbrooke! I bought that one, too. Such a fun romance. And so funny!
It is such a fun and funny romance. It actually has my favorite kiss in it. π
Loved The Flatshare! And what personal library is complete without a copy of Twilight haha?! Great list!

Ha ha! π I bet a lot of people would say their library is perfectly complete without Twilight. It’s okay, though. Those of us who love it can enjoy it for what it is.
Great list. I donated my copy of the Twilight series in both French and English when I moved back home from across the ocean. And now I’m thinking I need to get these series back on to my shelves π
Here is my TTT: https://herseriallife.com/top-10-ebooks-i-loved-so-much-i-have-to-get-a-copy/
Have a great week π
That’s awesome that you donated it when you moved back home. Books are the hardest things to move. They take up so much space and are so heavy! π I hope you do get the books you want back on your shelves!
For some reason, I STILL haven’t read EDENBROOKE! I don’t know why. Tons of people adore it and I’m sure I will, too, so I don’t know what’s stopping me. I’m glad you love it and all these others.
Happy TTT!

I totally understand. There are so many books I know I’ll like that I just haven’t read yet. I don’t know why, but I haven’t. LOL. π
I haven’t read the Dune books, but I’ve seen the movie and I just purchased the box set of books for my husband. I also enjoyed Twilight. Team Jacob. Edenbrooke looks really good.
I’ve actually only read the first Dune book. It’s my all-time favorite book and because it’s on such a high pedestal, I don’t want to possibly ruin it by reading what could be (probably not) a subpar series. LOL. That’s an inside look at my neuroses. π
I’m Team Edward. I like Jacob, just not for Bella, lol. Not necessarily for Renesme either, but I can get on board with that if I think of Renesme being in her late teens. π
OH goodness, I had the reverse experience with one of the titles on your list where I bought it expecting to love it and finally read it, and then… slooooogged through it for like a year before just giving up. xD Now it shames me from the shelf.
Here’s my post for this week!
I’m sorry you had such a hard time with that book. You should donate it to your library so you don’t have to keep looking at, lol. π
Edenbrooke is on my TBR. I thought about putting Twilight on my list today too, LOL.
I can’t wait for you to read Edenbrooke. I really think you’ll love it based on the books you like. π
Edenbrooke has been on my TBR forever! I need to read it soon!
I hope you read it sometime soon. I think you’d like it. π
This is such a good list! The Bear and the Nightingale is one of my faves. π
Thanks, Leah! π The Bear and the Nightingale and its sequels are definitely faves too. I love the characters and the world-building in them so much!
The Bear and the Nightingale is such a lovely book. I really enjoyed the world-building in that one.
I really enjoyed the world-building in that series too. The stories were so fun and I loved Vasya and Morozko so much. π
I did the same thing for The Bear & the Nightingale! After reading the ARC, I just had to have my own hard copy for my shelves!
It’s such a beautifully written story. π I love the world-building and the characters so much in that series!
So many great books. I read Midnight Library earlier this year and I already want to read it again. Same with Anxious People.
I also want to reread The Midnight Library again. And, I’d love to reread Anxious People again too. Both books are so good! π
I’m a big fan of Fox in Socks and everything else from Dr. Seuss. Fox in Socks is fun to read aloud.
I really love Dr. Seuss too. Fox in Socks in my favorite of his books. Like you said, it’s fun to read aloud. π
I bought Twilight before I owned a Kindle, so I have the series on my shelf as well. I don’t have Anxious People, but I did buy it for my mom. I could inherit it back someday. These are both great additions to your shelf!
I also had Twilight before I owned a Kindle. The first time I read it, though, I borrowed it from a friend. I bought it a week later, lol. Now, I have a Kindle version and audiobook version. π
I also love that you bought Anxious People for your mom. That’s definitely a book I like to recommend to the other readers in my life. π
What a great selection, though Green Eggs and Ham would be my choice of Dr Seuss books.
Thanks, Louise! π I love Green Eggs and Ham too. I honestly love all of Dr. Seuss’ books. Fox in Socks in my favorite, though, because it’s so much fun to read aloud.
I still need to read The Bear and the Nightingale! Though I don’t own a copy yet, and I’ve been trying to decide what format to get it in. I guess I should just pick one, and then buy multiple if I decide I need more copies later. π Thanks for stopping by my TTT earlier!
I hope you enjoy The Bear and the Nightingale when you do read it. I love the characters and the world-building in that series so much! π
Love the new look Jennie!! Well done.
I still need to read The Bear and the Nightingale, I have it on audible, but haven’t gotten to it yet.
Have a great weekend Jennnie!
Elza Reads
Thanks, Mareli! π It’s still in progress, but I’m loving the new look too. I hope you enjoy The Bear and the Nightingale as much as I do. I love the characters and world-building in that one so much.
I keep forgetting that I want to see if my local library has any Matt Haig books, so thank you for the reminder. And I loved Twilight as a younger reader
You’re welcome! If you read The Midnight Library, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. π
I bought a copy of The Flatshare before I even read it because it just sounded *so* good and I wasn’t wrong. Definitely a fave π I had a copy of TBATN and loved it so much that I bought one of the special editions of it and although it cost a whole lot, it was worth it cos they’re stunning. Great list! π
I’m so glad you enjoyed THE FLATSHARE. It was my favorite read last year. I’m also glad you loved TBATN. It’s such a great series. I love the characters and world-building. I’d love to get my hands on one of the special editions. π
Oh, The Flatshare is one I LOVE too! I listened to it on audiobook, but I’m still hoping to get a physical copy for my home library one day π
The Flatshare was my favorite read last year. π I read it for book club and I had to get a copy for my own library.
