Top Ten Tuesday #23

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Books on my Amazon Wishlist

This week’s prompt seems very strange to me. (I didn’t realize this was a biannual TTT tradition or that it coincided with Giftmas in July when I first wrote this post.)

Sure, I have books on my Amazon wishlist and I don’t expect anyone to buy a book for me. I created my wishlist for my husband and friends so they can get me books I want for my birthday or Christmas. Otherwise, it seems a little bit forward to ask my blog readers to buy me a book for a TTT prompt. Am I being weird about this?

For the sake of participating in the prompt, here are the top ten books on my Amazon wishlist (no link to my wishlist):

What about you? Which books made your list this week? Do we have any in common?

I learned in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) that life is full of dialectics, or two opposing truths. In this case, the two opposing truths are: 1) I don’t agree with JKR’s stance regarding trans people, and 2) I still love Harry Potter.

I hope you enjoy The Midnight Library when you get to it and I haven’t started the Last Hour trilogy either. I am done with The Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices books, though, and I read them in Cassie’s preferred order too.

I didn’t know you loved HP and Cassandra Clare. They’re some of my favorite series. 😀 I hope you enjoy The Midnight Library when you read it.

I just put books I’d like to buy for myself one day. I didn’t add an Amazon wish list either. I think a nice hardcopy of The Midnight Library would be nice to have too.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who didn’t put a link to our wishlist. I felt so awkward doing it, lol. And, yes, I’d love a hardcover of The Midnight Library so I can read it whenever I want to.

Great list! And you’re definitely not weird about it, I think most of us feel a bit weird about this topic – I was in doubt but did post my wishlist but also without any expectations at all. The Katherine Arden series is one that’s on my TBR, I’ve heard so many great things about it!

Thanks, Lindsey! 😀 I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt a bit weird/awkward about sharing my wishlist link. I hope you enjoy The Winternight Trilogy when you get to it. I love it so much!

Oh I didn’t know this was a tradition either! I felt weird about doing a wishlist so I didn’t actually make a list on Amazon. Although it is kind of cool to share the love although some might feel obligated to reciprocate, etc, so yeah. 🙂 Anywho… that cover of Thorns is amazing!

The cover for Chain of Thorns is beautiful, isn’t it? It’s one of my favorite covers. I always love the covers to Cassie’s books.

Thanks. I’ve actually already read all of them except Chain of Thorns and The Last Voyage of Poe Blythe. I do look forward to read those two. The other 8 books are fantastic and I recommend every single one of them. 😀

Very interesting tradition! I don’t even know what books I want right now! AH! I’m so so so out of the bookish loop!

I understand. I was out of the loop before I started blogging again this year. Now, I feel like I have a good grasp on what’s out there. Although, I’m always still surprised on these lists how many books I’ve never heard of, lol.
