Top Ten Tuesday #16
One-Word Reviews for the Last Ten Books I Read
This week’s prompt is “One-Word Reviews for the Last Ten Books I Read” and was submitted by my friend Susan from Bloggin’ ‘Bout Books. Here are the last ten books I’ve read, excluding any rereads:
Delightful
Thrilling
Ingenious
Unputdownable
Fun
Intriguing
Powerful
Suspenseful
Relatable
Frustrating
I enjoyed reading every one of these books. The highest rating was five stars for DEAR EMMIE BLUE and the lowest was three and a half stars for TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE. It was harder than I thought it would be to think of only one word to review each of these books. It was a lot of fun, though. Good prompt choice, Susan!
What about you? What are the last ten books you’ve read?
I love this weeks prompt, and you have some great choices on that list!
Thanks, Louise! It was so hard and a lot of fun! 😀
You came up with such great adjectives! I can tell I really need to up my game when it comes to describing books with only one word. Good job. 😀
Thanks, Lark! 😀 It was a lot of fun. I think your word choices are just as good as mine are.
Ingenious is a great choice for Dread Nation!
Thanks! 🙂 I’m glad you agree. I thought about that one in particular for a long time.
Great list this week – I couldn’t have picked a better word for Dread Nation or Stalking Jack the Ripper!
Thanks! 😀 I’m glad both of my word choices for those two works.
Great word choices, Jenni! You did a great job!
Thanks, Cindy! 🙂
I’d love to know why the Jenny Han book was frustrating!! These are all great — each one-word review makes me want to know more!
It’s because of the love triangle and the non-ending. Other than that, I really liked the story.
“Delightful” makes Emmie Blue sound like a book I’d like to read!
It’s such a cute book. I adored it so much. Part of it even takes place in France. 🙂
Fun prompt! I didn’t even look at what the TTT was yesterday. Whoops!
Lol. It happens. I’m curious what your words would’ve been, though.
Nine Perfect Strangers–great word choice for that one! You have a lot of books on here that I’d like to try sometime. 🙂
Thanks! 😀 I’m glad to hear my word choice resonated with you. If you do read any of the other books on my list, I hope you enjoy them.
Your one word reviews makes me want to read the ones I haven’t read! The Sound of Stars has such a pretty cover and I’ve heard great things about it. I find Jenny Lawson so relatable in general and look forward to reading Broken. I completely agree with you about Dear Emmie Blue.
If you do read any of them, I hope you enjoy them as much as or more than I did. 😀
