Wow! I actually read this month. I finished three books. I’m still not back to my old reading self yet, but it’s progress. Hopefully, I can continue on this trend.
My favorite book this month was BUILDING A LIFE WORTH LIVING: A MEMOIR by Marsha M. Linehan, which I finished on Thursday night. I’ll be posting my review of it on Monday.
I didn’t finish any books in November and I only read two books in December. Because of health issues, I didn’t really read anything until the middle of the month. I did start listening to the ECLIPSE audiobook, but I’m only about halfway through it. I hope I’ll get a chance and want to read more in January. I’m participating in the Bout of Books readathon this week, which hopefully will help jumpstart my year.
My favorite book this month was IN A HOLIDAZE by Christina Lauren. Although, I did also really enjoy THE HUNDREDTH QUEEN by Emily R. King.
I only read two books in October via audiobook. I had a hard time actually picking up books to read even though I had a few lined up. November will probably not be a very productive month in regards to reading either because I’m participating in NaNoWriMo and my focus will be on writing.
Since I finished listening to the Harry Potter audiobooks in September, I decided to start the Twilight Saga audiobooks this month. I finished TWILIGHT in the middle of the month and NEW MOON on Halloween.
I learned in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) that life is full of dialectics, or two opposing truths. In this case, the two opposing truths are: 1) I don’t agree with JKR’s stance regarding trans people, and 2) I still love Harry Potter.

November Plans
How did your October go? What are your plans for November?
I wanted to read a lot more this month than I did. I had a hard time picking up books to read. For those not in the know, I started PTSD therapy in August and I struggled with staying afloat in September.
I did discover that listening to the Harry Potter audiobooks is a great way to help me regulate myself emotionally. I just adore every single character in the series, the wizarding world in general, and the arc of Harry’s journey from and 10-year-old boy with no family to a fully qualified wizard who takes on the responsibility to save the world.
I spent most of the month working on a new design for my blog. I’m still not quite finished, and I’m happy with my progress and how everything is looking. I’m very excited to have it all finished.
If I counted the rereads, then my favorite book this month was HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS. If I don’t count the rereads since I already knew I felt the way I did, I’d say that SOME OF IT WAS REAL was quite awesome and qualify on its own as my favorite read this month.

I didn’t read much this month because I got LASIK on the 2nd and my eyesight has been wonky ever since. It’s okay, though, because it’s to be expected and my eyesight should be less wonky after my eyes heal completely. Because I’ve missed reading SOOO much, I have extremely lofty goals for September.
I did start three books this month: A DRESS OF VIOLET TAFFETA by Tessa Arlen, LINES OF COURAGE by Jennifer A Nielsen, and THE GOOD SISTER by Sally Hepworth. I decided to table A DRESS OF VIOLET TAFFETA for now. I know I’ll like it; I just realized I wasn’t in the mood for it when I started it. I was enjoying LINES OF COURAGE and would’ve completed it, but my due date for THE GOOD SISTER was looming and I really wanted to read it before I took it back to the library.
I don’t really have a favorite or least favorite book this month … obviously.
