April 2022 Monthly Wrap-up
This is probably going to be really funny to my readers and I guess you’ll get to see how my brain works a little bit. Anyway, I’ve never read this many books in a year up to this point before and I realized if I pushed myself and read five books this month, I’d finish my 19th book in April. Why is this such a big deal? Well, if you know me IRL or you’ve been following my blog at all this month, then you know my birthday is April 19, and I thought it’d be kind of fun to read my 19th book in April just for funsies. I’m happy to report that I finished my 19th book during Dewey’s 24-Hour Readathon on April 30th!
My favorite book I read in April was DEAR EMMIE BLUE by Lia Louis, followed very closely by A RIVER ENCHANTED by Rebecca Ross. My least favorite book was THE HORSE AND HIS BOY by CS Lewis.

May Plans
How did your April go? What are your plans for May? Mine are quite ambitious because I’m participating in Wyrd & Wonder and Bout of Books.
Congrats on your 19th book!
Thanks, Kami! 😀
I think your 19th book on the 19th was awesome! (Happy belated birthday, btw).
Dread Nation has been on my list for some time now. I read Darling Girl, (Have a giveaway on my blog currently for it.) and liked the dark retelling of Peter Pan. It was different. Hope you enjoy it too!
Happy May!
Thanks, Freda! 😀 I hope you enjoy Dread Nation when you read it. That’s really cool that you have a giveaway for Darling Girl on your blog. It’s my Book of the Month pick for May.
That’s awesome! Are you doing that readalong for Holly Black? It looks fun.
I am doing the read-along. I think it will be a lot of fun. 🙂
Congratulations on your 19th book! I’m so glad you enjoyed Dear Emmie Blue, it’s one of my favorites. I hope you enjoy Where the Crawdads Sing, as it was also one of my favorites.
Thanks, Wendy! 😀 Yes, I’m so glad you gushed about it on your blog. I adored Dear Emmie Blue so much. I hope I love Where the Crawdads Sing too.
If all goes well (airline, Covid), I’ll be heading back to New York to visit my older daughter and family. That’s about 9 hours of reading between airport, flight, then train. I have several books I’m finishing so I’ll need to figure out what to start!
Oh, that’ll be awesome! 😀 I hope you have a great flight full of awesome reading. Whenever I fly somewhere, I always sleep. Although, if the flight’s long enough, I’ll read.
Glad you enjoyed your April books! Happy May reading.
Thanks, Harvee! 😀 I hope you have a great May too.
You’re rocking it! I’ll be interested to see what you think of your May reads.

Thanks, Susan! 😀 I’m really surprised by how much I’ve been able to read this year, especially with school.
19 on 19!! Whoop!
I just checked my total and it’s 16 – probably my worst to date total ever but I feel good about it. I AM reading so yay! and some months are better than others. I don’t feel pressured anymore so it’s still a win for me. Bad for blogging content though ha!
Karen @For What It’s Worth
Woot woot! 😀 I think that’s awesome, Karen! Reading and enjoyment are the main thing. If you’re not enjoying reading, then there’s no point. So, no pressure is great.
