Sunday News #13

Sunday Post and Sunday Salon are blog news memes hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer and Reader Buzz, respectively. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week on your blog, and showcase books and other things.
Feeling

I’m feeling a little bit tired. I haven’t been sleeping very well lately for some reason. I’m not sure why.

Blogging

This week on the blog:

Reading

I’m still reading my February Book of the Month pick–A RIVER ENCHANTED by Rebecca Ross. I’m about halfway through it. I haven’t had much time to read this week. When I do read, I don’t want to put this book down. So far, I love it so much!

Listening

While I was listening to my “Faves” playlist in the car this week, Daft Punk’s “Instant Crush” came on. I always forget how much I really love that song. Corey turned me on to Daft Punk some years ago and this is my favorite song of theirs.

Watching

I found another show on Netflix that is amazing. It’s called School of Chocolate. I follow Amaury Guichon on Instagram and think he’s an amazing chocolatier and pastry chef. I love seeing what he does with chocolate. When I found out that School of Chocolate was him teaching other chefs how to do what he does, I couldn’t pass it up. Even if you don’t watch the Netflix show, you should check out his artwork on Instagram.

Loving

I love my new hair color. It turned out darker than I expected, but I love how it looks in the sunlight. Unfortunately, I haven’t been feeling well again this weekend so I haven’t had a chance to take a picture yet. I’ll get one and share.

Wanting

I want this semester to be over. I only have three more weeks and it feels like this has been the longest semester of my life, lol.

Needing

I need to convince Corey it’s still too cold to turn the AC on. It’s so cold in our house. I’ve been wearing sweatshirts and sweatpants, cuddling up under blankets and with my cats, and I’m still freezing, lol. The funny thing is I used to get hot like him, but not anymore. Maybe he has thyroid issues like I did.

How was your week? Anything exciting happen?

I’m sorry you’ve been having problems sleeping. I’ve been having the same issue. I’ve tried reading to make myself fall asleep but I end up getting too involved in the book and just keep staying up. I hope you are able to get some rest.

    Have a great week!

Thanks, Yvonne! Last night I stayed up reading as well. I was up until 4am finishing A RIVER ENCHANTED. It was totally worth it, lol, but not so good for the tiredness.

I hope you are able to get some needed rest and are sleeping better. My sleep has not been the best as of late either. School of Chocolate sounds interesting! I may have to check that out. My daughter would probably enjoy it. She loves those types of shows. I have been watching season 2 of Bridgerton. I hope you have a good week and happy reading!

Thank you so much! I still need to watch season 2 of Bridgerton. I hope you and your daughter like School of Chocolate if you watch it. 🙂 I hope you get some better rest too!

Not being able to sleep well can be the worst! Hope you’ll get some rest soon! And I strongly dislike the AC – at the office the AC is right above my desk and I am not a fan as the rest of the office is always warm while I have to sit there snuggled up and freezing, haha 🙂

At my old job, I saw underneath the AC too. It was the worst. I’d wear two coats and snuggle up underneath a blanket. I’m sorry you have to deal with that.

I’ve been having problems sleeping too. I fall asleep but I toss and turn all night and wake up around 2am.

    What color is your hair?

Our weather is so wacky right now. It was 80 last week, then we got 13 inches of snow and I had to turn on the fireplace yesterday,

I’m sorry you’re struggling sleeping. I do the same. I toss and turn and wake up several times each night. It’s so frustrating and exhausting.

I re-dyed it purple. It was really faded from when I dyed it purple last October. 🙂

That’s pretty much what our weather has been doing too. The last couple of days have been so cold.

    Better late than never?

Here I sit watching the 11 pm News and I realized I haven’t kept up with my blog friends. I see you weren’t feeling well last Sunday. I hope it amounted to nothing. I was dealing with allergies and a dry throat, probably related to the antihistamines. One day I pitched a fit and pretended I was really sick and just took the day off of life…babied myself. With college you can’t do that. Soup and tea? We are still finishing up Outlander, Call the Midwife, and Sanditon then we won’t have any go-to shows.

That’s okay. I understand. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by. My husband suffers from allergies and his have been going crazy lately. I don’t blame you for taking a day off of life with everything you’ve been through. Fortunately for me, I just ate something that didn’t agree with me last week. 🙂 I do love soup and tea.
