Top Ten Tuesday #42
Favorite Books of 2023
Even though I didn’t read very much last year, I’m still really excited for today’s prompt. I always love sharing my favorite reads from the previous year. I’ve decided to exclude any rereads from my list. Here are my top ten eight favorite books from 2023:
- Meet Me at the Lake by Carley Fortune
- Radical Love by Zachary Levi
- The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E Smith
- The Only Girl in Town by Ally Condie
- The Measure by Nikki Erlick
- Building a Life Worth Living by Marsha M. Linehan
- Atomic Habits by James Clear
- The It Girl by Ruth Ware
What about you? Which books were your favorite reads from 2023? Do we have any in common?
I have heard such high praise of Atomic Habits, looks like I will have to grab a copy too. Wish you a very happy new year!
Yeah, ATOMIC HABITS is great. I got so many good ideas from it. I’ve started implementing some of them. I’d like to reread it and take notes so I can better implement what I learned.
Atomic Habits sounds good.
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
ATOMIC HABITS is really good. It’s one of the only self-help books that I’ve truly gotten something from. Lots of great ideas and ways to implement them.
I’ve been wanting to try The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sigh, so glad to see you loved it!
It’s such a cute story. I really loved it. The characters are great and the story is awesome. It’s mostly fluff, but it has some meat to it as well. 😀 I hope you like it as much as I did or more when you finally read it.
I have a copy of The Measure here. And I’ve heard a lot of good things about Atomic Habits lately.
THE MEASURE made me think the most. In fact, I thought about it a lot in between reads and it has stuck with me more than any of the other books I read. Well, except ATOMIC HABITS and the two memoirs. I hope you enjoy both of them!
I don’t know what happened in 2023, but so many people had an off year, whether it be reading or life stuff. Let’s hope 2024 is better! The only one of these I’ve read is The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, but it was so long ago I can’t remember anything about it. Is that the one where they’re on a plane? I think I liked it? 🤣
Yes, I hope 2024 is better, overall, not just in reading, lol. And, yes, TSPoLaFS is the one on the plane. 😀
Great list! Here’s to a great year of reading in 2024! Here’s my TTT: https://bonniereadsandwrites.com/2024/01/02/top-ten-tuesday-my-top-ten-books-of-2023/
Thanks, Bonnie! 😀 Let’s hope 2024 treats us well!
I enjoy seeing everyone’s favorites. Meet Me at the Lake has been on my radar for months.
I loved seeing everyone’s favorites too. My TBR usually swells in size with this post. I hope you enjoy MEET ME AT THE LAKE when you read it.
I’ve read Atomic Habits and the Jennifer E. Smith book and loved both! The It Girl is on my tbr and I’m happy to see you loved it!
I did enjoy THE IT GIRL. It was super intriguing, twisty, and kept me guessing until the end. I hope you enjoy it when you read it.
Loved Meet Me at the Lake too! I read The Statistical Probability several years back and enjoyed it too. Great list, Jenni!
Thanks, Rachel! 😀 I’m glad you enjoyed both of those too.
I love Atomic Habits! 🙌📚
It’s such a great book, isn’t it? A lot of awesome ideas. 😀
I haven’t read any of these, but a couple were ones I was on the verge of reading, so it was nice to see them on your list.
Thanks, Deanna! 😀 There are just so many books out there vying for our attention, aren’t there? I’m glad there’s too many vs. not enough.
Haven’t read any of these, but they look interesting.
Thanks, Lynne! 😀 They were very interesting.
Ally Condie is an author I would like to try someday. My daughter loves her books, as do many other people 🙂
I love Ally so much. She’s such a nice person IRL and she has such a beautiful way with words. I hope you enjoy her books when you read them. 😀
I want to read It Girl. Maybe soon 😂 I have such a lot of books to get through 🤣 and I’m booking Blog Tours for March already 😱
Have a great week!

I completely understand. There are so many books I mean to get to but something happens, lol. Good luck with all your blog tours.
My favorites were Demon Copperhead, Hello, Beautiful and The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store. They were all BC books so the discussions made them even more memorable.
I’ll have to look these up. I always love books at book club that warrant great discussions. We’ll be voting on our new books soon. Maybe, I’ll suggest a few of these. 😀
