Top Ten Tuesday #42

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Favorite Books of 2023

Even though I didn’t read very much last year, I’m still really excited for today’s prompt. I always love sharing my favorite reads from the previous year. I’ve decided to exclude any rereads from my list. Here are my top ten eight favorite books from 2023:

  1. Meet Me at the Lake by Carley Fortune
  2. Radical Love by Zachary Levi
  3. The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E Smith
  4. The Only Girl in Town by Ally Condie
  5. The Measure by Nikki Erlick
  6. Building a Life Worth Living by Marsha M. Linehan
  7. Atomic Habits by James Clear
  8. The It Girl by Ruth Ware

What about you? Which books were your favorite reads from 2023? Do we have any in common?

Yeah, ATOMIC HABITS is great. I got so many good ideas from it. I’ve started implementing some of them. I’d like to reread it and take notes so I can better implement what I learned.

ATOMIC HABITS is really good. It’s one of the only self-help books that I’ve truly gotten something from. Lots of great ideas and ways to implement them.

It’s such a cute story. I really loved it. The characters are great and the story is awesome. It’s mostly fluff, but it has some meat to it as well. 😀 I hope you like it as much as I did or more when you finally read it.

THE MEASURE made me think the most. In fact, I thought about it a lot in between reads and it has stuck with me more than any of the other books I read. Well, except ATOMIC HABITS and the two memoirs. I hope you enjoy both of them!

I don’t know what happened in 2023, but so many people had an off year, whether it be reading or life stuff. Let’s hope 2024 is better! The only one of these I’ve read is The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, but it was so long ago I can’t remember anything about it. Is that the one where they’re on a plane? I think I liked it? 🤣

I love Ally so much. She’s such a nice person IRL and she has such a beautiful way with words. I hope you enjoy her books when you read them. 😀

My favorites were Demon Copperhead, Hello, Beautiful and The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store. They were all BC books so the discussions made them even more memorable.

I’ll have to look these up. I always love books at book club that warrant great discussions. We’ll be voting on our new books soon. Maybe, I’ll suggest a few of these. 😀
