Top Ten Tuesday #39
Books on My Winter 2023 TBR
I honestly love the original prompt for today. However, I only got two books for Christmas this year. This is completely fine because I have enough of a backlog as there is, lol. For those who are curious, I received a beautiful new edition of DUNE by Frank Herbert and PEOPLE WE MEET ON VACATION by Emily Henry, and I’m excited about both of them!
Because I missed the prompt, I’ve decided to go back a couple of weeks and do the yearly “Books on My Winter 2022-2023 TBR.” (I changed it to Winter 2023, though, since we have less than a week left this year.) As always, I may plan to read specific books during the next few months because they fit a challenge, they’re for book club, or whatever. Whether I stick to my plan is all dependent on my mood as I can’t force myself to read something I’m not in the mood for. Here are ten books I might read this winter, mood permitting:
I’m most excited to read A FIRE ENDLESS by Rebecca Ross because I adored A RIVER ENCHANTED earlier this year.
What about you? Which books are on your winter TBR? Do we have any in common?
My whole book group was thrilled with Where the Crawdads Sing, and I liked Taste a lot.
I’m glad to hear that! 😀 I’ve started Crawdads; I just need to finish it. I’ll probably restart it because it’s been so many months. LOL.
I hope you love all of these books. I’m planning to clear up some of my backlog this winter, too.

Thanks, Lydia! 😀 Backlog reading is always fun. I hope you enjoy reading the books you choose too!
Great list, I hope you’ll love all of these! I’ve read and loved Love on the Brain, the Undertaking of Hart and Mercy and Where the Crawdads Sing.
Thanks, Lindsey! 😀 I’m really excited to read all of these, especially the three you listed.
Great collection of books! I meander from one book to another, whatever catches my fancy. The Book Club book is always my first priority. I was one of the few who didn’t care for Crawdads. As a mystery reader, the mystery was a nothing burger and as a sometimes romance reader, the love story wasn’t well-written. (in my opinion)
Thanks, Margaret! 😀 I totally get putting the book club book as top priority. I try to do that as well unless it’s a book I really don’t want to read, lol. Sorry you didn’t care for Crawdads. You can’t win them all, right? Hopefully, I’ll still like it.
I adored Love on the Brain, but The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy was really something special. I hope you love all of these.
I’ve heard such great things about Hart and Mercy. 😀 I’m very excited to read it.
You’ve got so many incredible books on your TBR! I’ve read a few and loved them a lot, so I really hope that you enjoy them as much as I did. I’ve got to read A River Enchanted, since I see everyone talking about it, and have had it on my TBR for a while.
Here’s my post for this week: http://leahs-books.com/2022/12/27/ttt-most-recent-additions-to-my-book-collection-2/
Thanks, Leah! 😀 I hope you enjoy A River Enchanted as much as I did. 😀
I’ve read about half of these and enjoyed them all, so I really hope you do as well. There’s a nice genre mix there so it looks like something for every mood. 🙂

I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed all the ones you’ve read. 😀 I hope there’s something for every mood, lol. 😀
I’ve wanted to read that Fredrik Backman book also. I am adding it to my TBR right now so I won’t forget it! Looks like you have so very good selections to read this winter. Enjoy!
Happy New Year! My TTT post
I hope we both enjoy reading it. 😀 It’s my book club’s January book so I’ll be reading it sooner rather than later. 😀
I hope you enjoy reading all of these when you get the opportunity!

Thanks so much, Pam! 😀
I don’t have any of these on my TBR, but I am interested in a couple: the Stanley Tucci one because I love Stanley Tucci and have heard it’s good and the Fredrik Backman one because when I was at the cinema the other day I saw a trailer for the film adaptation and it looked good, so I figure I’ll need to read the book at some point!

I also love Stanley Tucci! He’s one of my favorite actors. I didn’t realize this Backman book was being adapted. I’ll have to check it out after I read it. 😀
Yes! Our in common ones are the three book club books! WOOT! Also, I’m surprised to see Mistborn on there… nice! I would like to catch up with some Sanderson books….
Woot woot! 😀 Yay book club! Mistborn’s on there because 1) it’s part of a challenge I’m participating in next year, and 2) my friend has wanted me to read it for 10+ years, lol.
I hope you enjoy Where the Crawdads Sing! It’s not something I usually read, but I listened to the audiobook and was fascinated with the story.
One of these days I’ll need to read an Ali Hazelwood book. 🙂
I’ve actually started Crawdads and I’m quite fascinated by it as well. 😀 I’m glad you loved it as much as you did despite it not being your usual genre. 😀
I skipped this prompt too but your post reminds me I want to get back to reading Liane Moriarty.
I hope you enjoy the Liane Moriarty books you end up reading. 😀 So far, I’ve loved every books of hers I read. WHAT ALICE FORGOT is my favorite, though.
Where the Crawdads Sing is going to be one of my favorite books of this decade. It was my favorite of the year it was published, too. Enjoy your books.
That’s awesome! 😀 I’m so glad you loved it as much as you did. I’m looking forward to reading it.
This looks like a great list; I hope you enjoy them all! The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy is one I want to read, too. Hopefully we’ll both get to it (and enjoy it) in 2023!
Thanks for stopping by my TTT earlier. 🙂
Thanks, Nicole! 😀 Hopefully, we do both love Hart and Mercy when we read it.
