Sunday News #64
What Happened this Week
This week has been a bit slow. I’ve mostly been getting ready for classes to start on the 21st.
What I Blogged
Here’s what I posted on the blog this week:
- Print, Digital, or Audio?
- Top Ten Tuesday #47
- Review: When I’m Dead
- Follow Up to NYT’s 100 Best Books of the 21st Century
What I Read and I’m Reading
I listened to the audiobook for BRINGING DOWN THE DUKE by Evie Dunmore. It was a fun historical romance. I’ll be posting my review tomorrow.
I’ve also been reading IRON FLAME by Rebecca Yarros. I’ve had a migraine this week and I can’t read physical books when that happens so I’m only a little over halfway through. I should finish it this week.
I’ll start listening to the audiobook of THE DUKE AND I by Julia Quinn today. It’s the first book in the Bridgerton series, which I’ve been wanting to read for a couple of years now.
How was your week? Anything exciting happen?
I am so sorry to hear about the migraine. Was it pressure changes due to summer storms or more likely hormonal? I am glad that my post gave you a tiny boost, thinking about a blue wave with cat hair!
Thanks, Anne! 😀 Honestly, I have no idea what causes my migraines. I think they’re hormonal because I’m going through perimenopause, but I’m not sure.
I hope your migraine goes away and you’re able to get back to your normal routine this week.
Thanks, Jen! 😀
Migraines are the worst! Hope you’re feeling better this week!
Thanks, Lindsey! 😀
I hope you’re feeling better, soon! Audiobooks are terrific when other formats don’t work.
Thank you, Joy! 😀 And, I totally agree about audio.
Oh, no! I’ve heard how debilitating migraines are. I do enjoy historical romances and several Regency romance authors. I read one Julia Quinn book and didn’t like it much. Perhaps I should have chosen a different one!
Thanks! 😀 Migraines are very debilitating. Even though I can’t read when I have one, mine aren’t nearly as bad as Corey’s are. 🙁
I think I have BRINGING DOWN THE DUKE on my e-reader. It sounds like fun and I am glad you thought so! I hope your migraine has passed and you are able to get back to IRON FLAME. Have a great week, Jenni!
I hope you like BRINGING DOWN THE DUKE when you get to it. 😀 My migraine has passed, thankfully, so I’m back to reading and getting reading for school.
