Top Ten Tuesday #42
Favorite Books of 2023
Even though I didn’t read very much last year, I’m still really excited for today’s prompt. I always love sharing my favorite reads from the previous year. I’ve decided to exclude any rereads from my list. Here are my top ten eight favorite books from 2023:
- Meet Me at the Lake by Carley Fortune
- Radical Love by Zachary Levi
- The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E Smith
- The Only Girl in Town by Ally Condie
- The Measure by Nikki Erlick
- Building a Life Worth Living by Marsha M. Linehan
- Atomic Habits by James Clear
- The It Girl by Ruth Ware
What about you? Which books were your favorite reads from 2023? Do we have any in common?
I wanted to read the Love at First Sight book because they were making a tv movie out of it I think? Glad you liked all these!
I had no idea they made one until someone else mentioned it. I’ll definitely be looking for it, lol. 😀
I’ve been curious about Zachary Levi’s memoir, but hadn’t seen anyone review it before. Thanks for reminding me to look into it further! Happy 2024, and thanks for stopping by my TTT earlier!
It’s a very good memoir. I especially love listening to the audiobook because Zachary Levi narrated it. If you do read it, I hope you enjoy it. 😀
I read The Statistical… several years ago when I was still working in a high school library. One of the students described that book as gooey and delicious like an undercooked brownie. Ha! Now you will have that picture in your head like I do!
Happy New Year.
Ha! That’s a great description. Love it! 😀
The It Girl is the only Ruth Ware book I’ve read so far but it was amazing!!
Thanks for stopping by my Top Ten Tuesday
It’s the only one I’ve read as well. I’d definitely read another book written by Ruth Ware. 😀
I still haven’t read a book by Ruth Ware and my major reading area is crime fiction. I do have on on my shelf to read though.
There are just so many books out there that it’s impossible to read them all. If you ever do get around to this one or another by her, I hope you enjoy it. 😀
I really want to try something by Ruth Ware. I have never read any of her books.
If you do read any of her books, I hope you end up enjoying them. 😀
I’ve also read Atomic Habits last year. Do you have any other books like this you have enjoyed? I’m slowly working my way through “self-improvement” books and the amount out there is overwhelming.
I’m a huge fan of “The Bullet Journal Method”. I’ve also read ” The Miracle Morning”. There are probably more, but those I can remember from the top of my head.
I honestly haven’t read many other self-help books. I normally don’t read them. The only reason I read ATOMIC HABITS is because my therapist recommended it to help me find ways to stick with my goals. 😀 I’m glad it was such a big help to you and good luck with the other books you read.
The Measure was definitely my favorite this year!
It’s such a fantastic book. I love that it made you think. Out of all the books I read last year, this one has stayed with me the most. 😀
I read The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight a long time ago and really enjoyed it. I watched the movie that came out last year and it was SO GOOD!
I haven’t had a chance to watch the movie yet. Hopefully, I can find it somewhere and watch it soon. 😀
This is such a great list, and it’s full of books that I’ve seen around but haven’t gotten to yet. I did read Meet Me at the Lake, and enjoyed it a lot, though. Maybe it’s a sign to check out some of these other books!
Thanks, Leah! 😀 I hope you enjoy any of these that you end up reading.
Great list! I read The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight years ago and really enjoyed it, and I’ve been curious about Zachary Levi’s book. Happy New Year! 🙂
If you do read Zachary Levi’s memoir, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. 😀
I too really liked Jennifer’s! I’ve read a couple of hers, and have enjoyed them all, so I’m hoping that when I read more of hers I also have fun reading them. 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting my website/list from this week, too!
This is my first book by Jennifer E Smith. I do look forward to reading more of her books, though. 😀
The Measure is on my TBR so I’m glad to hear that was one of your favorites.
I hope you enjoy it! 😀
Statistical Probability has been on my Goodreads shelf for years and years. I haven’t heard of the others but I’ll definitely be checking them out – that and I have heard of Ruth Ware and heard so many good things about her books, but I don’t think I’ve heard of this particular one. Happy 2024 and thanks for stopping by my TTT post!
Thanks, Janie! 😀 I hope you have a good 2024 too!
Happy to see we both enjoyed Meet Me at the Lake. Happy reading in 2024!
Yes, such a fun book! 😀 Happy 2024 to you as well!
