My Thoughts
I’ve had THE BONE COLLECTOR on my TBR ever since I saw the movie. I really enjoyed the movie. I thought the concept of having a quadriplegic criminalist was really interesting, so I was really looking forward to the book. Unfortunately, while the characters were mostly the same, the story was quite different. For one thing, the murderer wasn’t the same character. For another thing, the murders weren’t the same either.
One thing I did like about the book was getting into Lincoln’s and Amelia’s head. And, at the same time, I wasn’t too keen on being in the victims’ heads just before they’re about to die or while they’re being tortured. It was too much for my taste to read what was happening to the victims while it was happening. I felt sick and uneasy.
Even though I’m glad I took the time to read the book, I enjoyed the movie better. I don’t say that very often.
