My Thoughts

I was really excited to read THE CHEMIST because I’m a huge fan of Stephenie Meyer and it was her first new non-Twilight Saga story since THE HOST in 2008.

I really liked the characters, especially all the dogs. I thought the story was intriguing and suspenseful and, at first, I wanted to keep reading so I knew how it would end. None of my predictions came true, which is a little disappointing, but at least I didn’t see “it” coming. I’m not sure if having surgery (and being doped up) in the middle of my read tainted my experience, but I thought the story was about 100 pages too long and a bit anti-climactic.
