My Thoughts
I absolutely adored ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS. Perkins did an amazing job writing the sexual tension and angst. It was so intense and made the reading all that more enjoyable. I’m quite content with where this book left off. I got a hint of the togetherness that I always wish for after a book like this ends, but it wasn’t drawn out so it didn’t kill the story either.
I loved the setting. I thought it was fun to see Anna get used to living and studying in France. I wish I had had a similar opportunity. I thought it was fun to see her learn the language and realize that even though she may not be able to speak French very well, she could understand it.
I adored the characters. I even loved the ones I hated because they were developed so well. I particularly loved that Anna was left-handed because I’m left-handed, and I loved that Étienne bought her a lefty notebook. That more than anything else made me love him for her. I also adored reading the e-mail exchanges between them in chapter 28.
I’m looking forward to reading the companion novels for this book. I wonder how they’ll relate to each other. It’ll be fun to see the school or characters from a different POV.
