My Thoughts
CITY OF LOST SOULS was a great addition to the Mortal Instruments series. I thought it was interesting to get to know “Sebastian” more, even though I knew he wasn’t being forthright. I loved reading from all the different POVs and I loved all the relationships. I also loved all the folklore and religious mythology added to the story. And, it was amazing to spend so much time with Clary and Jace together, even with Jace being controlled by “Sebastian.”
The ending was crazy. I’m so nervous for Jace and what it means for his relationship with Clary. I hope Clare doesn’t make us wait until the end for them to be able to be back together.
Update: When I read this for a third time, I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed it. I thought Molly C. Quinn did an amazing job with each of the characters.
