Title: People We Meet on Vacation I really loved this friends-to-lovers romance. PEOPLE WE MEET ON VACATION was super cute, emotional, sensual, and just a lot of fun to read. I related to both Poppy and Alex on a deep level. This is my second Emily Henry book and I’ve loved both. I look forward to reading more books written by her.
Title: Ruthless Vows RUTHLESS VOWS was everything I wanted in a sequel to DIVINE RIVALS and more. I was hooked on page one and despite the bittersweet ending, I loved this story immensely. I loved seeing more of the magic in this installment and learning more about Enva and Dacre and even getting their perspective every now and then. I really enjoyed seeing the contrast between Enva and Dacre’s relationship and Iris and Roman’s as the story progressed. I’m so glad I decided to read this series.
Title: Divine Rivals Gah! I’m glad I chose to read DIVINE RIVALS after RUTHLESS VOWS was published. I need to read the rest of this story now!
DIVINE RIVALS was such a compelling read. I loved the premise so much. It felt very You’ve Got Mail that takes place during a war between Hades and Persephone but from the human perspective. I loved gradually learning about Enva and Dacre through the myths Iris and Roman shared with each other. Speaking of Iris and Roman, I loved them so much. The chemistry between them was fantastic and I especially loved their banter.
Title: A Fire Endless I’m so happy I read A FIRE ENDLESS. It’s everything I wanted in a sequel / conclusion. I was hooked as soon as I started reading and didn’t want to put it down. I loved the Gaelic / Scottish feel to the story and I loved Ruth Urquhart’s narration. Her Scottish accent added so much to the story.
I loved seeing Adaira grab hold of her lineage without sacrificing where and how she was raised. I also loved seeing Torin and Sidra growing into their roles as Laird and Laird’s consort. I thought there was a perfect balance of romance and story, which made my heart happy!
I loved getting a chance to experience life in the West and seeing how different it was from the East. I loved learning more about the Folk, their origins and history, and their hierarchy. I especially loved being a part of the Spirits realm and seeing how it worked. I guessed Bane’s backstory and was excited to see that I was right.
Title: Iron Flame Gah! Why do I read these series before all the books are out?! Waiting for ONYX STORM is going to be torture! I saw the end coming because of the foreshadowing, but I’m still in agony!
I loved that IRON FLAME kicked it up a notch! There was more adventure, intrigue, political mayhem, warfare, and so much more romance. It was everything I wanted in a romantasy and sequel. It was excruciating to read because of the non-stop suspense and action. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time wondering how it was all going to go down.
