Bout of Books 36 Signup

Bout of Books is a week-long readathon held every January, May, and August. It’s low-pressure. There are optional reading sprints, Twitter chats, and Instagram challenges.

I’ve decided to join the Bout of Books readathon from January 2nd to 8th. Since I start school on the 9th, I decided that Bout of Books would be a great way to jump start my reading for 2023.

I’m hoping that I’ll be able to read my Unofficial Trim Challenge book, MISTBORN by Brandon Sanderson, and start my IRL book club book, MY GRANDMOTHER ASKED ME TO TELL YOU SHE’S SORRY by Frederik Backman. I may read some of my January PBT book as well, TASTE: MY LIFE THROUGH FOOD by Stanley Tucci.

Are you going to join in the fun?

Good luck with the Readathon. I need to find a few challenges for the coming year, though the big one is just to stick to reading some of the books I already own!

Thanks, Louise! 😀 I’m only doing one challenge next year, plus a few readathon events like this one. I’ve decided I just want to read what I want, lol.

I know! 😀 I’m so excited to read MISTBORN. My friend has been trying to get me to read it for more than a decade, lol. I decided it was high-time I did. Ha!

Thanks, Greg! 😀 I’m very excited and I’m really excited to read Tucci’s book. I’m going to listen to the audio if I can since Tucci narrates it. 😀

It sounds like fun and I’m tempted but there are a few too many challenges in my life right now. Mainly my elderly mother. I’m hoping to at least finish my Book Club book for January.

I get that. Sometimes real life takes precedence over something like this. I hope everything works out well for your mother and that she can stick around for a while yet. <3
