Top Ten Tuesday #27
Book I Wish I Could Read Again for the First Time
I totally spaced that today’s Tuesday so I’m posting this a little late. Better late than never, right?
This week’s prompt is a freebie and I’ve decided to go with a topic that I missed participating in. The prompt I chose is “Books I Wish I Could Read Again for the First Time.” Here are my top ten books:
I absolutely adore all of these books. I loved the feeling of wonder, excitement, and anticipation that I felt when I read them the first time. I’ve reread all of them except two and there’s still a sense of excitement and anticipation, and it’s not as strong as when I read them the first time. I’ll still reread them, though, because I love the stories and the characters.
What about you? What books do you wish you could read again for the first time? Do we have any in common?
Great theme. I’ve also read The Night Circus and Blackmoore, both excellent books.
My post is here https://veganbookblogger.wordpress.com/2022/07/19/top-ten-autumn-books-im-excited-to-read/
Thanks, Deanne! 😀 Yay! Another Blackmoore lover.
If only such a thing were possible! There’s something so magical about reading a series for the first time that you’ll soon grow to love. 🙂

Right? At least we can revisit them and enjoy the stories again. 😀
I feel the same about the first four or five.
Great minds think alike, right? 😀
I agree with many of your choices, especially Hunger Games and Harry Potter. I’d like to read again for the first time: A Tale for the Time Being; The One in a Million Boy; Hamnet; and Looking for Alaska.
I haven’t read A TALE FOR TIME BEING, THE ONE IN A MILLION BOY, HAMNET, or LOOKING FOR ALASKA yet. I’d really like to, especially A TALE FOR THE TIME BEING. 😀 I’m glad they’re good enough to be on this list for you.
Love your choices, Anne! You know how much I love “Tale for the Time Being” and “The One in a Million Boy.” I still get choked up even thinking about them.
If I wait long enough, it feels like I’m reading a book for the first time. lol
LOL. That’s so true about books I haven’t read in years and only read once. The problem is at some time during the reading, I start to remember details about the story that I didn’t remember before. Oh well. 😉
The Hunger Games was awesome when I finally got around to reading it! I’d been blogging several years before I finally did.
I really is such an awesome story. I love all three books immensely. I also love the movies, so I can enjoy them visually or through the written word. 😀
What a fun choice for this week’s TTT! I would love to be able to read The Night Circus and all the Harry Potter books again for the first time. 😀
Thanks, Lark! 😀 I’m glad you like it.
I agree with you on basically every single one of these, haha! But at least there’s always going back and falling in love all over again…

Lol. I’m glad I made good choices! 😀 And, yes, I’m very glad we can reread books we love and remember why we love them so much when we reread them.
I love this topic! I would love to read Harry Potter for the first time again.
It’s such a fun one, isn’t it? I think Harry Potter would be on a lot of people’s lists.
I agree 100% on HP, Hunger Games, Cinder, City of Bones and Graceling. I enjoyed Night Circus too although it doesn’t rate as high for me and have never read Twilight.
I understand about THE NIGHT CIRCUS. I know it’s not for everyone. 😀 And, for that matter, neither is TWILIGHT. If you ever do read it, I hope you like it. It’s okay if you don’t, though. 😀
Tooootally agree on The Night Circus! What a fantastic novel.
Agreed. I love the story, the romance, the dual timeline, the characters, basically everything about it. 😀
Yes, wouldn’t that be great if we could read our favourite books again for the first time? Such a great idea, Jenni.
Thanks for visiting my TTT this week.
Thanks, Marianne! 😀
What an interesting topic! There’s so many books I wish I could read again for the first time – but especially The Bear and the Nightingale and Graceling – those were so creative and different.
Yes, I agree. Those two stories are very creative and I love them both sooooo much. 😀
Yes! This is a great topic. A lot of your choices are ones I would pick as well since I don’t really remember reading them the first time, but 100% I wish I could read The Night Circus for the first time again. I haven’t reread it yet but the ending annoys me so I know that will affect how I feel as I reread it. 🙂
Thanks, Jaime! 😀 I don’t remember the ending of The Night Circus very well, but I know I was okay with it because I wouldn’t have given it five stars if I didn’t. LOL.
I’ve heard wonderful things about The Bear and the Nightingale.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks for stopping by earlier.
It’s such a fantastic series. I love it sooooo much! 😀
