Bout of Books 35 Wrap-up

Bout of Books is a week-long readathon held every January, May, and August. It’s low-pressure. There are optional reading sprints, Twitter chats, and Instagram challenges.

That’s it! Another Bout of Books has come and gone. It was a big, fat bust of a reading week for me. I tried to find time to read, but I didn’t feel very well for part of the week. I focused my time on watching TV and movies because that’s usually what I do when I’m not feeling well. I also worked on my blog a few days during the week.

I hope this week was more successful for other participants than it was for me. Thank you, Amanda and Kelly, for all the hard work you put into making Bout of Books as much fun as it is each and every time!

Don’t forget that the next Bout of Books is January 2 to 8, 2023. Hopefully, I’ll have better luck next time.

Instagram Challange

I did take a couple of pictures for the Instagram Challenge. Here they are.

Totals

Here are my totals! I only read a little bit this week. It’s better than nothing, though.

Pages Read: 170 pages
Hours Read: 6 hours 51 minutes
Books Finished:

How was your week? Did you meet your goals?

I’m the same. When I don’t feel well, it’s movies and tv for me. I like that I don’t have to think very hard when I’m watching TV.

Thanks, Chelsea! 😀 I think not reading when you’re sick is more common than we think. I know some people can read when they’re sick and that’s great. I guess we’re not like them, LOL.

Thanks! 😀 Yes, I’m glad I read what I read. It was interesting and felt good. Hopefully, I can get back into the swing of things with juggling my schedule so I can read more.

Are you like me and feel guilty when you don’t stick to/achieve these challenges? I tend not to join many these days as I put silly pressure on myself to hit the targets and feel bad when I don’t!

Your pictures are stunning – I’m so envious of your still-life photography talent.

I used to be like that, Louise. It’s the reason Corey always hated when I participated in reading events. It’d get so distraught and mad. Now, thanks to DBT, I can radically accept that it didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to and say, “It is what it is.” 😀
