I’m really excited about today’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt. The prompt is “Ten Favorite Books from Ten Series.” Since most of my favorite books are a part of a series and I’m the type of person who likes to rank my favorite books, this prompt’s right up my alley. Anyway, here are my top ten choices:
Honorable Mentions
Dragon Prince by Melanie Rawn
The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman
Perfect Scoundrels by Ally Carter
The Fellowship of the Ring by JRR Tolkien
Divergent by Veronica Roth
Matched by Ally Condie
Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake
What about you? What are some of your favorite series? Do we have any in common?
I learned in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) that life is full of dialectics, or two opposing truths. In this case, the two opposing truths are: 1) I don’t agree with JKR’s stance regarding trans people, and 2) I still love Harry Potter.
Totally up your alley! I had a hard time with the favorite book part of the prompt since I tend to like the first book in a series most. Not always, but a lot of the time. Plus, my memory is not good enough to remember all the other installments in a series, especially if there are a ton of them. LOL
Lol. I really understand where you’re coming from. I think the only reason I know which books I like the most of these series is because I’ve read them so many times. 😀
I really need/want to finish the Katherine Arden series. I read The Bear and Nightingale so long ago, however, it worries me that I’ve forgotten too much.
The series is definitely worth continuing on. 😀 You could maybe find a review somewhere of TBatN that gives a detailed summary. There are websites that do that.
I almost put Divergent on my list as well! And, Twilight, although I couldn’t remember which book from the series was my favorite, so I didn’t. Have a great week!
Yay! 😀 And, I totally understand about not remembering which book is your favorite. The only reason I know about all of these is because I’ve read them so many times, lol.
The only series on your list that I’ve read is HP. I’m not sure if I can pick my favorite, but I do know that Order of the Phoenix is probably my least favorite.
I think Order of the Phoenix is most people’s least favorite in the series. 🙂 I actually don’t mind it. I feel like it’s a great representation of how a 15-year-old boy would react under Harry’s circumstances. While I loathe Umbridge, I think she’s fun to hate. To each their own.
I’d say City of Heavenly Fire is my favorite from The Mortal Instruments too
Awesome! 😀 I loved that book so much!
Catching Fire has been a popular pick this week.
I haven’t had a chance to blog hop yet. That’s cool that I’m not alone in my thinking. 😀
The Hunger Games and Twilight are great series.
They are, aren’t they? 😀

Great choices! I can’t believe I forgot about Catching Fire, that was such an amazing installment in that series for sure, it really had it all.
Thanks, Lindsey! 😀 I totally agree on CATCHING FIRE. I love love love it so much. 😀

Ahh! It’s been years since I read Despain’s series but I remember loving it too! The final HP book was good! But oh how I cried throughout that one!
Thanks for visiting my TTT!
I love Bree’s characters so much. I’m hoping she comes out with a new book soon. I know she’s working on something. 😀
I cried as well while I read Deathly Hallows. I love it so much because of how well it ties everything from book 1 until the end together.
Some of my favorites in your list although I would rate Phillip Pullman, Divergent, and Matched higher.
I knew you liked His Dark Materials, but I didn’t know you were a fan of DIVERGENT and MATCHED. 😀
I love the first four series mentioned! I couldn’t pick a favourite book out of them though 😂
Have a great week!
Ha ha! 😀 I understand. I’m really weird when it comes to picking favorites and ranking my series.
So happy you’ve got the Winternight series here, and Anna Dressed in Blood was so good!
They’re both such great series. 😀
I enjoyed Divergent, but I never read on. I was disappointed in the rest of the series.
I didn’t mind the other two books in the trilogy, but I did like Divergent better. 🙂
What a great list! You’ve got a bunch of books that I read and loved, and a few that I haven’t heard of but will definitely be checking out.
Thanks, Leah! 😀 I hope you enjoy the ones you check out if you decide to read them.
