Top Ten Tuesday #31

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Books Set in a School

This week’s prompt is “School Freebie.” I’ve probably decided on the easiest iteration for this topic. I’ve decided to go with my top ten books set in a school. Here are my favorite choices from books I’ve read:

This was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I haven’t read many books set in a school. At least I found ten.

What about you? Which books were on your list this week? Do we have any in common?

I learned in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) that life is full of dialectics, or two opposing truths. In this case, the two opposing truths are: 1) I don’t agree with JKR’s stance regarding trans people, and 2) I still love Harry Potter.

I went with books set in a school this week, too. I just wish I’d thought to add The Love Hypothesis to my list! Great TTT. 😀

Ninth House is on my list too. Loved Fangirl. I want more stories like that about starting (or being in) college. I also love that cover of Isla and the Happily Ever for some reason.

Thanks! 😀 I know what you mean about how many books we miss on your lists. I miss so many books each week that I’m always floored when I see them on others’ lists and realize I forgot them. I would’ve loved to attend Anna’s and Isla’s school too.

I actually read two of your books this week, Harry Potter and Wonder. That’s more than what I read from other lists. Must have a look at some of the other books you posted. Thanks.

And thanks for visiting my TTT this week.

That’s awesome, Marianne! 😀 I’ve often not read any books from other bloggers’ lists either. A lot of them sound interesting, though, so my TBR always grows quite a bit. LOL.

Great list – I see the usual suspect is on there, but HP books are something special. We read Wonder with the students – ours are a little older than the real target audience but it’s a book that can be enjoyed whatever your age is.

LOL. Yes, Harry Potter fits so many categories and since it’s my favorite series, it gets listed a lot. 😀 That’s great that you read Wonder with the students. Like you, I think it’s a book all ages can enjoy and learn something from.

Great list of books with a school setting. You also reminded me about Ninth House, which I have considered picking up. Good to see that you enjoyed it!

I am part-way through reading Fangirl and absolutely LOVE it 😀 I definitely want to pick up the Simon Snow books she’s written as well
