My Thoughts

I loved P.S. I HATE YOU so much! It was such a sweet story about love, loss, betrayal, grief, forgiveness, and second chances. I felt for Maddie and the loss of her brother trying to navigate the world alone. I also felt for Dom, the loss of his best friend, his divorce, and everything imploding around him. I cried more than once and stayed for the slow-burn spicy romance. Maddie and Dom’s chemistry, snarky banter, and sexual tension were off the charts, making this a delight to read. I didn’t even mind the time skipping due to the nature of the story.

My Thoughts

I love, love, loved PROJECT HAIL MARY! The story was fascinating, suspenseful, thought-provoking, and gave me all the feels. It’s also so very readable. I was completely hooked as soon as I started reading and I’ll be thinking about this one for a very long time. I loved both Grace and Rocky so much, especially Rocky. I loved their relationship, how they learned to communicate with each other, and how deep their friendship became. The audiobook was definitely the way to read this because of how Rocky communicates. It just made it so much more fun to listen to. I’m so glad I decided to read this before the movie comes out next year.

My Thoughts

THE SIRENS OF TITAN is so different from most books I’ve read. It was mildly entertaining with interesting views on free will, fatalism, and manipulation. I liked that the story made me think and challenge my own views and beliefs of the universe, God, and people. However, I’m not really a huge fan of satire and that aspect hindered my enjoyment of the story. I’m glad I read this book at least once, but I’ll never read it again and I’m glad it’s over.

My Thoughts

THE WILD HUNTRESS was awesome. I loved the story and the characters so much, especially Palug. He reminded me of my cats, Cassie and Izzy. (I’m so glad the dedication let me know he survives so I didn’t have to worry about him.) I also loved the mythology. The author’s twist on the Welsh folklore was so intriguing and the magical elements were fun to read and experience. I also really enjoyed listening to the audiobook. As an American not accustomed to Celtic languages, it was awesome to hear all the correct pronunciations of the Welsh words and names. My only hangup is that I wish the last chapter didn’t feel as rushed. I would’ve preferred an epilogue instead of an overview of future happenings.

My Thoughts

So much to say. Even though I didn’t really like Lily (I think), the story was so freaking compelling that I had to find out what happened. I kept thinking they were on a show like Squid Game and at some point the shoe was going to drop and they’d all be in danger. I’m a little disappointed that didn’t happen.

Based on what I witnessed and not knowing his thoughts, I liked Sam a lot and I was sad when he left. I was sad Lily hadn’t grown enough to go with him. And, the ambiguous ending is torture. Although, the author could definitely write a follow up to see how Lily’s life changes because of this experience.
