Top Ten Tuesday #28

Books from My Spring 2022 TBR I Still Haven’t Read
This week’s prompt is hard for me because I’m a mood reader and the only seasonal TBRs I’ve made are for spring and summer 2022. We’re still in the middle of summer so I can’t use that list and, honestly, spring wasn’t very long ago. However, I’ve managed to read four books from my spring TBR, which is amazing to me. Anyway, here are the ten six books from my spring 2022 TBR that I still haven’t read:

Technically, I’ve read the two Harry Potter books. They’re the last two I need to read to finish my latest reread of the series, though.
What about you? Which books from a previous seasonal TBR have you still not read? Do we have any in common?
I learned in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) that life is full of dialectics, or two opposing truths. In this case, the two opposing truths are: 1) I don’t agree with JKR’s stance regarding trans people, and 2) I still love Harry Potter.
Winterkeep looks good!

Agreed. I love the Graceling series so I’m very excited to read this one. 😀
Sometimes I make lists, but if I change my mind about reading a book, I cross it off and I don’t go back…well, I won’t say I NEVER go back…
I’ll change my mind about reading a book too. Most of the above books are still ones I want to read. I just wasn’t in the mood to read them yet. 😀
I’m curious about Dating Dr. Dil, too.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
It sounds like a fun book, doesn’t it? 😀
I don’t even make “real” TBRs because I’m a total mood reader. But I play along and make (cough – fake – cough) TBRs when TTT prompts call for them. LOL Sometimes I might actually read something from them! Haha. So I can understand how you had to choose, too. Hope you get to some of these soon! 🙂
Lol. That’s pretty much what I do too. I make the lists so I can play along on TTT. And, I may read a few books from my lists here and there, but I don’t stress too much about not reading everything. 😀
I want to read Winterkeep as well.
It sounds like such a great book, doesn’t it? I’m really excited to see where Cashore takes the series. 😀
I’m still working on my HP series re-read as well (except I’m listening to them on audio). It’s been a long time since I’ve read the last books in the series. I hope you enjoy all these!
Happy TTT!

Thanks, Susan! 😀 I hope you’re enjoying your reread. I always love rereading Harry potter every few years.
I’ve got Lady Midnight on my shelf to read. My partner is re reading the Harry Potter books to our toddler.
Have a great week!

I’m really excited to read LADY MIDNIGHT at some point. I love Cassie’s books so much! 😀 That’s so fun that your partner’s rereading Harry Potter to your toddler. 😀
I always feel pressured by lists so my goals are to finish my BC book and to read several other fun ones during the month. (usually mysteries or light lit)
LOL. I just make the lists so I can join in the fun in participating in TTT. I don’t often follow through with any of my lists because of being a mood reader AND there are so many books. 😀
I am also a mood reader so I don’t keep TBR’s like that. I just consider every physical book I own to be part of my TBR pile. And I refuse to deal with it lol

I also consider every book I physically own as part of my TBR. I also consider all the books I want to read, which is over a thousand, as my whole TBR. I do enjoy making small seasonal TBRs even though I never follow through. 😀
You’re doing great if these are the only books from your Spring TBR you haven’t read.
Thanks, Deanna! 😀 I’m pretty happy with the progress I’ve made.
I hope you enjoy all of these whenever you get to them.

Thanks, Jo! 😀
I’m a total mood reader too so I get not completing those TBRs 🙂 Honestly, I do love making a TBR, but I don’t mind not completing it that much because I think that picking up a book based on your mood usually makes for a better reading experience.
I’m the same way. I love creating these lists so I can participate in TTT and it helps make my already never-ending TBR more manageable. 😀
I have one perpetual TBR rather than seasonal lists. I get to things when I get to them. And Carve the Mark just got added to the pile!
Stop by and see my top ten list!
I also have one perpetual TBR. I only make these seasonal lists so I can participate in TTT. Even though I know I won’t completely stick to these seasonal TBRs, I still enjoy making them. 😀
I read Dating Dr. Dil and it was fun and light. I hope you find time to read these.
I’m glad to hear Dating Dr. Dill was fun and light. 😀 Sometimes fun and light are just what my mood wants.
I mood read too although I do make (tentative) lists. More like just general lists of what I want to read without actual requiring that I read them anytime soon lol.
Beautiful cover on the Clare book- hers always seem to be nice.
Most of my lists for TTT are tentative lists. I love making them so I can participate in TTT, but I rarely adhere to them completely. 😀 I don’t mind, though.
I hope you enjoy these when you get a chance to read them. Have a great week!
Thanks so much, Cindy! 😀
Four of these six have been on my TBRs in the last few years, and I actually read them! I reread the whole Graceling series this January, and it was so interesting to get a different experience after all these years. I hope you enjoy these!

Great minds think alike! 😀 I’ll reread the original three in the Graceling series before I tackle Winterkeep and Seasparrow. I’m really excited to see where Cashore takes the series. 😀
I’m not sure I could reread Deathly Hallows; it destroyed me 15 years ago. Then again, maybe it was because I was pregnant with my youngest when reading it.

I understand. Deathly Hallows was hard. I sobbed during part of it, and I still get a little teary-eyed when I read about Dobby and Fred. 😀
As a mood reader, I completely understand! I love making TBR lists but rarely follow through with them.
I read Dating Dr. Dil recently and enjoyed it!
Same. I love making these lists so I can participate in TTT, but I usually only read a few of the books on my lists. I don’t mind, though. 😀
I liked Lady Midnight, but I’m definitely adding Winterkeep to my TBR!
I’m glad to hear you liked Lady Midnight. I’m really looking forward to reading it. 😀
I haven’t read Cassandra Clare yet, her covers are always so gorgeous and her books sound great.
I also love the covers of her books. Some of them are my favorite covers of all-time. I hope you read one of her books soon and that you like it. 😀
Dating Dr. Dil was good. I also loved Lady Midnight!! I hope you get a chance to read these! 🙂
I’m glad to hear that DATING DR. DIL and LADY MIDNIGHT are good. I can’t wait to read them. 😀
Funny, I started a Harry Potter re-read via audiobook a few years ago, and somehow I never ended up finishing — I have the same two books as you left to go!
LOL. That’s funny. 😀
I accidentally read Winterkeep before I read Bitterblue and didn’t even realize it until I finished. It’s been so long since I read Fire, I just thought I had forgotten events from that book! Oops. Good luck finishing your list!
Oh no! I’ve done that before with other series and when I went back to read the first book I realized all the little callbacks to the first book. LOL. 😀
My “men” were always over-excited about Harry Potter. We used to order two copies of Harry Potter, Son #1 would read the one with the the adult cover over night and then pass it on to hubby, Son #2 would get the “children’s edition”. When one of the others had finished theirs, Son #1 would re-read the book. LOL And I think they’ve all re-read them dozens of times.
Thanks for visiting my TTT this week.
That’s awesome! 😀 I’m glad they loved Harry so much to do that.
I have totally shocked myself by reading all the books on my spring TBR this year.
That’s awesome, Ellie! 😀
I still need to try the Graceling books!
If you do, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. 😀
I want to read Winterkeep, too! It looks so good, and the cover is absolutely gorgeous. I hope you get a chance to read all of these!
The cover is gorgeous, isn’t it? It makes me want to get the first three with the new covers. #readerproblems 😀
I don’t have a seasonal TBR, just one heck of a list of books I need to read at some point! 😂
LOL. I don’t really have a seasonal TBR either. I just make lists so I can participate in TTT. I’m like you. I have a ginormous TBR that I’ll never get through. 😂
Nice list. I didn’t succeed with the last couple of HP books. I didn’t finish the final movies either, but my now adult kids devoured both! Go figure.
It’s okay. It’s a long series and the last few books are huge. If you’re not really into them, then you read something else, right? 😀 I’m glad your kids love them.
