Normally, I’d post this list either at the end of the year or at the beginning of the year. However, because I wasn’t blogging at the time, I missed the opportunity to share my favorite books from the last decade, between 2010 and 2019.

I couldn’t narrow the list down to a top ten so I decided to do a top thirty for the decade. To qualify for this list, I had to’ve read the book for the first time between 2010 and 2019. I also chose books that made some kind of impact on me, whether it was because it’s a favorite book or the content really made me think, etc. (I got this idea from my friend Suey over at It’s Some About Books and Lots About Korean Stuff.)

Anyway, without further ado, here’s my list in alphabetical order by title:

  • Anna and the French Kiss
  • Anne of Green Gables
  • Big Little Lies
  • Bitterblue
  • The Book Thief
  • Born a Crime
  • By Your Side
  • Cinder
  • City of Heavenly Fire
  • Clockwork Princess
  • Defy
  • Edenbrooke
  • Elantris
  • Emmy & Oliver
  • Everneath
  • Furiously Happy
  • The Hate U Give
  • The Hobbit
  • Me Before You
  • Mockingjay
  • My Lady Jane
  • The Night Circus
  • On the Fence
  • The Shadow Prince
  • Still Alice
  • Summerlost
  • Throne of Glass
  • To Kill a Mockingbird
  • What Alice Forgot
  • The Winner’s Curse

Have you read any of these books? Did they make as big of an impression on you as they did on me?

What were some of your favorite books of the last decade?
