WALL-E

WALL-E Movie PosterLast night, Corey and I took my nephews Dustin and Wyatt, to see WALL-E. Corey and I waited to see it with them because we knew they’d be staying with us for a couple of days before they went back home to Texas.

I always love Pixar movies. I think they’re so much fun and they usually have a fun short to go with them. WALL-E was no exception. The short that came with it was hilarious and the movie itself was great! :D

For those of you who are worried that there’s no dialog, there is. It just takes about 15 – 20 minutes to get to it. And, the time without dialog is just as entertaining as the time with dialog because you get to watch WALL-E and learn to love him and his personality.

The movie is very “green” in its message. My co-worker Jeff thought it was a little too preachy, but I thought it was realistic for the story. I also thought that humanity could definitely turn out the way the movie portrayed it if our world keeps going in the direction it’s going. We’re all about ease, convenience, and the here and now. If there was a robot around that did everything for you, I think a lot of people would snatch that robot up, hoping their lives would become easier and giving them more time to do what they wanted to do. However, as more and more robots were made for this and that, then people would just become lazier and lazier.

I’m not really sure if WALL-E was meant to instill that in people or if it was made just for the entertainment value. But, either way, the movie does get that point across. ;)
