Train the Trainer

I survived my work’s conference! It was a lot of fun and tiring at the same time. The conference started on Sunday and ended yesterday. We worked every day from 7:00 am until 11:00 pm, so you can imagine how tired we all are.

I enjoyed the interaction with the trainers, or most of them anyway. I forgot to take pictures while I was there because there was just too much going on. I got to see three of my dearest friends. Jen used to work with me and we were in the same ward until they moved. When I hugged her good-bye, we almost ended up in tears as we hadn’t seen each other for almost four years and knew it would be a while until we see each other again. I get to see Alice and Jamie a little more often because they come to Utah for seminars every now and then. However, I still enjoy every minute I get to spend with them.

My co-workers and I are extremely tired, especially Jeff. There were a lot of computer hardware and software problems and Jeff’s our resident expert. He was running around non-stop each day. Poor Jeff! I taught a couple of courses as did Erin, Becky, and Guy.

The highlight of the event was the banquet where we handed out awards to the trainers. After the awards ceremony, we usually have some form of entertainment and this year, we had Comedy Sports perform at our banquet. Comedy Sports is an improv group and they were a lot of fun to watch.

About Jenni Elyse

I enjoy reading, listening to music, watching movies and TV, playing any type of game (especially anything related to Zelda and Mario), aimlessly surfing the Internet, crocheting, knitting, playing the piano, and hanging out with my husband, cats, and friends. I hope you enjoy reading my posts as much as I enjoy writing them. If you want to get to know me better, check out the About Me page. I also blog at Getting Healthy.

  1. Jenni, it was so great to see you! And yes, I did cry when we said goodbye (and when I first saw you, too, I think!). I miss you and am grateful for the friendship you’ve always shown me. You are a wonderful person and it was so wonderful to see you!
