The New Crib

I really hate showing these pictures because things are still not put away or organized and are downright messy! Anyway, the kitchen, laundry room, half bathroom, and full bathroom are all unpacked and put together.  (Although the laundry room’s a little messy because I haven’t put our clothes away yet.) Our bedroom’s livable right now.  And, everything else has an “out of sight, out of mind” status.

Kitchen Living Room Dining Room

As you can see, we have a really nice fridge.  The other appliances work for now, but we’d like to buy new ones that will match the fridge.  We don’t have a lot of furniture for our living room because our couch broke and our TV’s in our bedroom so Corey has something to do and can be comfortable while he heals from his surgery.  We don’t have a table because our old dining room used to be the home for our piano so the dining room’s a bit empty.  The wood flooring you see is parquet.  We want to change it to a more traditional wood flooring, even though it’s nice enough for now.

Corey's Office (3rd Bedroom) My Hobby Room (2nd Bedroom)

The third bedroom’s Corey’s office/art room.  The second bedroom’s my hobby room and will be a guest bedroom once my parents drop off my antique bed.  I’m excited to have a place for all my yarn!

Full Bathroom Half Bathroom Laundry Room

The full bathroom has two doors, one from the hallway and one from the master bedroom.  I miss our double vanity, but it’s okay.  The half bathroom is our cat bathroom.  Yes, you read right.  Our cats use the toilet in that bathroom and, for now, their litter’s there too.

The wooden toilet seats will be the first things to go.  Whoever thought of wooden toilet seats should be shot! Wood soaks up germs, whereas porcelain and plastic don’t.  And, slivers and ugly.

There’s also a pantry across from the washer and dryer.  We can finally start building our one-year supply of food storage. Eventually, we want to replace the washer and dryer with a stackable set so we can put floor-to-ceiling cabinets next them.

Master Bedroom

When I took this picture, I was standing in the doorway to the bathroom.  To the right, there’s a pair of double closets! Corey keeps joking he’ll end up with a quarter of one and then I’ll have my closet and three-quarters of his. Our light is remote controlled! It also has a fan attached to it, and it looks very modern and nice so we don’t even have to change it.

All in all, we’re very happy with the place.  We have a few things we want to do to make the place our own, like painting, changing fixtures, etc.

Looks great! How exciting to have something of your very own to remodel. And sorry I don’t always comment on your blog. I do read it though. I usually only have time to do a quick read before some disaster strikes around here. :) Hope all goes well with the unpacking. Good luck!

Yay for you! Your house is awesome. I love that in a lot of the pics you see cats lurking. :) All of your remodel ideas are fantastic. I don’t like wooden toilet seats either, they are ewwwy.

One thing you need is a larger bed, poor Corey’s feet are hanging off. :D Just kidding. Love you to both and kitties. I’m glad you guys are in your home now!
