The most frustrating thing for me when trying to lose weight is when I don’t lose weight and I gain it instead. I’ve been eating completely healthy this last week and I worked my butt off in boot camp. Yet, I still gained two pounds. I’m just trying to remember that it’s probably because of muscle gain, even still it’s disconcerting. I guess we’ll see if I lost any inches this week after our session today. I really hope so because I have a hard time sticking with things when I don’t see results.
Update: I did lose an inch off my waist and a half an inch off my neck. I do feel a little better now.

I’m getting all my paperwork done for my financial aid for this school year. I’m a little behind because Corey and I had to file our taxes late due to everything that happened last year. I always forget how much paperwork it takes to get financial aid to go through. It’s so daunting! Luckily, my FAFSA application says I should not only qualify for subsidized loans this year, but I should also qualify for a full pell grant!

I’m getting really nervous about my Spanish class this semester. Sure, I’ve known Spanish since I was six years old, but I don’t speak or listen to it everyday. I also haven’t really practiced in many years. I try to speak it whenever I’m hanging out with my nephew-in-law Dave, but I just feel so rusty. The last class I took was almost ten years ago. What if I’ve forgotten everything I need to pass this class? Fortunately, I remember most of the grammar rules, but my vocabulary is not nearly as rich as it used to be. I know it’ll come back to me, but I’m still nervous.

The muscle weight throws you off. I hate that. Just remember how GOOD you feel eating right and exercising…with stress levels, energy, headaches…all those things can hopefully keep you motivated when the results are slow. Sorry, I HATE that!
What’s a full Pell grant? It sounds good, good luck.
I know if you ever want to practice your spanish Dave would be more than happy. It helps him and he loves any excuse to practice. I know you’ll do great.
And Good luck on the Fellowship of the Ring…
I definitely need to remember the good feeling and push the soreness out of my mind, so I don’t focus on that either.
A pell grant is government assistance for school that doesn’t have to be paid back. Subsidized loans have to be paid back, but the interested doesn’t accrue until you’re done with school. Unsubsidized loans have to be paid back and the interest accrues while you’re in school. So, by far, the pell grants are the best, but most people have to do some subsidized loans too.
Ugh, I hate that! When you are trying to lose and you gain. Keep with it though, I believe in your perseverance. At least you are trying. I am temporarily not caring about weight though I probably should. It is difficult to jump up on that eliptical when I really don’t want to.
Good luck with the school stuff. I have Matt all registered and I too am waiting on the financial aid. Ugh, it is such a pain.
Becky – It really is hard to get up and exercise when you don’t want to. Yesterday, I had to work late, so I didn’t get to go to boot camp. I was going to walk on the treadmill for an hour to help make up for it, but I didn’t walk on it. I was too lazy.
Good luck with getting Matt all squared away with financial aid!
You’ll do great with classes! I need to get going on my FAFSA, too. *slacker* I’ll definitely be doing that tonight. Speaking of Mockingjay… I should be in town when it comes out. Want to go get it together?
Megan – Yeah, we can go get it together. I’m planning on going at midnight because I have that day off and I want to read it all day.
Keep up the work with the boot camp— you know it’s working!
Yay for the Pell grants— those are always the best!
The spanish will come back to you— it’s in there somewhere, you just need to have a trigger.
I hear you with the book thing… trying to get it all in before the 24th— so sweet!
Where are you getting it? Borders in Provo? Because I’ll need to order mine.
Amber – I have to tell myself that it’s working when I hit times like these. Just keep swimming.
Megan – Yeah, I’m getting mine at Borders. I got my name put on the list, so that I’m guaranteed one.
BWAHAHA! I’m on the list. xD
Megan – Woo hoo!
