Old Spice Guy

If you’re like Corey or me, then you think the Old Spice commercials are hilarious!  Today, the Old Spice Guy (Isaiah Mustafa) created video responses to various tweets, Facebook posts, and youtube videos/comments.  They’re really entertaining to watch and they’re all less than a minute long.  Unfortunately, embedding for these videos is turned off so I can’t post my favorite on my blog, but I definitely recommend watching it because he’s responding to his own tweet. I highly recommend you check out the others, too.

  1. I just caught one last night. We had to rewind it to watch it again. My husband didn’t get why it was so funny. I told him I needed to buy him Old Spice and Pine-Sol (those commercials are hilarious!), he looked puzzled and asked, “Why?” Silly man.

  2. Jaleta – I’ll have to go check out the Pine-Sol commercials. I can’t think of any off the top of my head right now. Although, I do usually fast forward through every commercial, except a few. ;)

  3. Yeah, we love the Old Spice guy!! It sure looks like he has a lot of time on his hands.

The latest commercial I’ve seen is the one where he does the swan dive. So funny.

  4. Becky – I’m glad I could brighten your day! I know you haven’t had good ones lately.

Ashley – Yeah, I love that commercial. Corey and I have seen it several times and we still laugh or smile when we see it. As far as the time on his hands, I think Old Spice was doing it as a promotion, so it was part of his contract. I’m sure he was being paid for it.

  5. I love the Old Spice guy! I saw him interviewed this week, and he said that the commercial with the horse (classic!!!), really was all one shot from start to finish. Obviously, it had to be done over and over to get it just right, but there was no piecing it together. So awesome!

  6. Christie – I’m glad you enjoyed them! :)

Deon – That’s what Corey told me. It’s amazing that he/they were able to do it in one shot. It just blows me away.

  7. Oh my gosh! Weren’t those the funniest?! I absolutely love that guy! :) Just hearing he was in Portland made me want to drive up just to stalk around town hoping to encounter him. Haha!

  8. Violet – Ha! That would’ve been awesome! Did you see the video that said his ad campaign is coming to an end? I hope it means just the responses not the actual commercials.
