Follow Friday
This week’s featured blogger from Parajunkee’s View is Progress and Procrastination. This week’s featured blogger from Alison Can Read is Omnom Books.
This week’s Follow Friday question is: Define what characteristics your favorite books share. Do they all have a kick ass heroine or is the hot love interest the Alpha Male?
Most of the books I consider my favorites have some sort of a fantasy element to them. I love high fantasy and Urban fantasy. I also love science fiction and mythology. I just love things that are either not part of this world at all or are like Harry Potter and take place in our world but have some supernatural/paranormal twist.

Love your answer!! ME, TOO!!
I think paranormal twists add reality where contemporary doesn’t. Ok… that may be taking it too far, but I like ‘em. I’m a new follower. My FF is here: Colorimetry
Thanks for following me and thanks for stopping by!
Um… I’m following via – http://www.bloglovin.com – it’s a cool list-a-thingame to keep track of blogs, which is handy. Just saying… since you don’t have easy push-button choices, you’re still followable.
I’ve never heard of bloglovin before. I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for letting me know about it. Right now, I’m just having people focus on following me through RSS, a newsletter, Twitter, or Facebook. But, bloglovin may be a good option too.
Ditto! More and more I’m discovering that I prefer Urban Fantasy to Epic Fantasy which is a surprise to me, but it’s close either way!
I know what you mean. I love Urban Fantasy as well. It’s so cool! But, for whatever reasons, I love the epic fantasy stories so much. I think I just love that they’re such long stories and that you get to stay in the worlds longer.
Fantasy is a pretty awesome genre! Hope you have a great Friday
Here’s my FF!
Thanks! I hope you do too!
Great answer, I love some fantasy to help me escape sometimes!
New to your blog and I just wanted to say that I LOVE your blog theme – super cute!
Here’s my FF post!

Fantasy is great for escape. That’s why I love it so much!
lately, I’m loving the ‘not like our world’ fantasy element in books more and more. Less realism, please…
Exactly! I get realism in daily life. I want/need something different!
When I’m in the mood to escape, a fantasy book is just the best way to do it!
I’m not a new follower. Heh. I keep forgetting to say how I’d like to be followed in my own posts. I need to remember that next week.
Lol. You made me laugh with your “I’m not a new follower” bit.

Thanks! I hope you have a great weekend too!
Oh I love fantasy too! Great answer!!!
Thanks!
I’m glad you love fantasy too! So many people are anti-high fantasy especially. I feel so bad that they’re missing out.
I haven’t read a whole lot of fantasy books, but I definitely have enjoyed the ones I’ve read so far.
Hope you had a great weekend!
I’m glad you’ve liked the ones you’ve read so far. To be honest, I haven’t read a lot of high fantasy either just because I try to read a little bit of everything. But, I do love high fantasy or fantasy period!
