Eat a Tasty Animal for Peta Day

I’m all for animal rights, such as treating animals with respect, not abusing animals, or working them to death. However, I’m not for putting animal rights above human rights. Peta, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, is an extremist group that goes way too far with their views and actions. One of their views is they don’t think animals should be consumed as food and will do anything to push that agenda on others.

Now, I don’t care if people want to be vegetarians. That’s their choice. Frankly, I don’t eat a lot of meat myself because I don’t like the taste. I just don’t believe that someone, or a group of people, should infringe on others’ rights to push their own views/agenda.

Yesterday was Peta Day and Corey and I decided to join a Facebook group event to protest the day in our own little way. (It was mostly for fun and a joke.) The event was called, “Eat a Tasty Animal for Peta Day.”

Corey just wanted to go to A&W and order a couple of burgers. But, we decided to invite our good friends James and Meagan over to celebrate. We went to a place called Tommy Burgers. Tommy Burgers is a little hole-in-the-wall place with awesome burgers, hot dogs, and tamales! The food we ate was so yummy and made me glad that I like to eat some meat!
