A Birthday Movie

Tomorrow is Corey’s birthday and he’s not one for making the day a big deal. Usually, we don’t do much by way of presents and this year was/is no different.  He simply wanted to go to a movie and share a chocolate cake with some of his favorite people.  Since his birthday is on a Sunday, we decided to go see the movie yesterday and tomorrow we’ll have chocolate cake with our friends the Vigues.

Both of us were actually pretty excited to see Quantum of Solace.  I know Corey liked it a lot and I really enjoyed it as well.  I love Daniel Craig’s portrayal of Bond.  In fact, he’s my favorite Bond, not only because of his portrayal, but also because of his hotness! He’s closely followed by Pierce Brosnan as I don’t really like the older movies as much as the six newest ones.  I think I like Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace so much because their storylines are connected, whereas all the previous Bond movies are just independent stories.

After the movie, we were both pretty hungry so we went to PF Chang’s.  PF Chang’s is one of Corey’s favorite restaurants, whereas it’s one of my least.  (I’m not one for Chinese food.)  I decided not to make a huge fuss since it was Corey’s birthday celebration.

I normally eat the lettuce wraps as my entree because I can’t find anything else I like there.  Yesterday, I decided to be courageous and I tried the Coconut Curry Vegetables.  The tofu and the veggies were really good, but the curry was a little too much for me.  Even though I didn’t enjoy the food as much as I would’ve liked, I still had a nice time because we were doing something Corey enjoyed and we were spending time together.

Anyway, I think Corey had a good night yesterday, and I know eating chocolate cake with the Vigues tomorrow will make his birthday the best.  Happy birthday, Honey!
