Cholecystectomy or Gall Bladder-ectomy

The past week has been hectic. As of last night, I had worked almost 50 hours this week because I had four manuals due. Two of them were due on Tuesday, one was due on Wednesday, and the other one was due today. And, to add to the stress of working from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm every day and from 8:00 pm to 11:30 pm after I got home, Corey and I found out, on Tuesday, that he needed to have his gall bladder removed today. I had to get the manual due today done by yesterday. *whew* Sleep has been “only in my dreams” this past week.

Corey went into surgery around 7:30 this morning. His surgery only lasted 45 minutes, but he was in the OR recovery room for about an hour and a half. I didn’t see him until 9:30 or so. Gwyl, Corey’s dad, and my parents came down to see him while he was in the hospital. Corey was able to leave the hospital around 1:30. He’s at home now and still in a great deal of pain. He says he’s not doing well, which is to be expected, but he’s sleeping it off because of the anesthesia and pain meds. The doctor told us he should start feeling better in a couple of days.
