Here are this week’s pictures. Less than a month left! I’m really happy with my pictures this week. I think they all turned out really well. [Read more...]

Project 365: Week 47

Here are this week’s pictures. I’m nearly a month away from completing this project and it’s becoming harder and harder to keep up. I miss the flowers and new life of spring. The constant snow, but no snow (if you live in Utah, you’ll understand) is getting old and doesn’t warrant very interesting pictures. Plus, it’s midterm time at school so I feel like I have no time to explore. But, I discovered some things this week that I can take pictures of. It’ll keep me occupied for at least a couple of days. Project 365: Week 46

Here are this week’s pictures. I really like a couple of them, especially the one of the rose. After I take today’s picture, I only have 40 left to do!

February 12: I had the chance to listen to five amazing authors speak today as part of their Breathless Reads Tour. It was so much fun! From left to right: Ally Condie, Beth Revis, Andrea Cremer, Kirsten Miller, and Brenna Yovanoff. February 13: This picture doesn’t do the sky justice. My point-and-shoot camera doesn’t do night shots very well. The moon isn’t quite full and the sky was a beautiful midnight blue with grayish clouds near the moon. Imagine a picture like that.
February 14: These are my friend Ali’s roses. Tyler gave them to her for Valentine’s Day. When we went over to meet Amelia, I saw them on the counter and needed to take a picture.  I’ve missed taking pictures of live plants! These were so pretty and they had so much depth to them.
February 15: As you can tell, I had a hard time getting my camera to focus. The lighting in the custard shop wasn’t conducive to the best picture. But, I still like how the picture turned out … somewhat. February 16: It’s so rare to have such a beautiful day in February. Even without a lot of snow, it’s usually cold, gray, and dreary. I wanted to capture the mountains and sky and a little bit of scenery around where I was.
February 17: It’s a nightly ritual for Corey to throw his socks on our cats. Cassie normally doesn’t mind, but this time it landed right on his head. His expression says it all! February 18: I found these cats in Seattle a few years ago and I immediately fell in love with them. I love how cute they are! And, I love that their heads and tails bobble.

Project 365: Week 45

Here are this week’s pictures. I feel a lot better about this week’s pictures than last week’s. Although, I now realize that I missed a lot of good opportunities to take some pictures. Oh well.

February 6: I love the graininess of this picture. Normally, I like clean, crisp pictures, but I think the graininess of this one adds to the cuteness and abstractness of Tigger. February 7: Now that I’m almost done with Project 365, I feel like I’m running out of ideas. As I was walking to class, I decided to look up and thought taking a picture of this tree would be a good subject.
February 8: This is my current work-in-progress. I’m crocheting a blessing afghan for my friends’, Ali and Tyler, soon-to-be little girl. February 9: I was so happy that the sun was shining. I wanted to capture it and I thought taking it with this tree would be lovely.
February 10: My friends’, Ali and Tyler, daughter Sheridan turned four and she loves princesses. Ali, who is nine months pregnant, felt like this cake wasn’t up to her usual best. (I thought it was fine.) And, the important thing is that Sheridan loved it and thought Aurora was beautiful in cake form. February 11: I bought this bamboo for Corey a little over a year ago. It remained in the same little tub of water, although we changed it every now and then. Corey was looking for the perfect vase to put it in. Unfortunately, the bamboo couldn’t hold on any longer and developed a fungus that basically killed it.

Project 365: Week 44

Here are this week’s pictures. I feel like this week went by in the flash and that it was a little crazy. I don’t feel like a lot of these pictures are up to my best. But, I only have eight weeks left!

January 29: My friend Rachel bought this in Arizona and gave it to me for answering questions correctly on her blog. I love dream catchers! I think they’re so interesting and I love all the colors used to make them. January 30: Cassie loves to find soft, fluffy places to sleep. Our bedspread had just come out of the dryer. I put it on the couch so I could put something else in the dryer. When I came back, this is what I found.
January 31: As I was walking to class, I noticed the light dusting of snow on this statue of Brigham Young. I thought it was a little comical that the snow on the head made him look like he was a masked superhero of some sort. February 1: Corey wanted a red Wii so he got one for Christmas. He found the other multi-color wiimotes to go along with the red one.  I love all the different colors.  My preferred one is the pink; I only wish they had purple.
February 2: I always have a hard time finding running shoes that fit me well. These Sauconys are awesome! No hurting at all. February 3: I liked the way the glow stick looked in the dark. I wish there was a way to preserve its glowiness; the freezer doesn’t work.
February 4: I saw these flowers in the mall when Corey and I went to a movie. I was excited to see live flowers! February 5: This is another view of the dream catcher Rachel gave me. I really love the colors she chose!
