Watching

I finished watching the second season of The Crown on Netflix. I find it so fascinating. I often wonder if the royal family watches it and what they think about it.

Warning: There’s nudity in this season.

Reading

I started Anne of Green Gables for the readalong I’m cohosting and so far so good. 😊 I also finished Born a Crime by Trevor Noah last night. It was so fascinating to read about life as a mixed person during the apartheid.

Listening

I haven’t really been listening to anything lately.

Blogging

I’ve been racking my brain for blogging ideas. I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I’m at the point of blogging when I have something to say.

Feeling

I’m starting to feel a little better. I think the longer days are helping. My SAD is slowly going away and even though I’m still sad and mad about what happened last month, I’m learning to accept it and move on with life. There are too many positive things happening in my life right now to let it bring me down.

Loving

Since I’m eating a vegan diet, I had to look for an alternative to butter. I live in Utah. The most unvegan place. Ever. We have vegan things in our stores, but not a lot of choices.

This coconut spread was at one of our health food stores and I bought it warily because I’m not the biggest fan of coconut. A couple of days ago, I decided to put some on a slice of bread and I about died. It’s so yummy! I wish I had been eating this my entire life! It only has a slight coconut flavor, which actually adds to its yumminess. Seriously, whether you’re vegan or not, you’ve got to try it!

Wanting

I know we’ve had it easy this winter, but I really want it to warm up again and the snow to go away. I’d even be happy if the snow were just in the mountains and it was warm in the valleys.

Needing

I need to update my TBR. A week or so ago, my friends and I went to an event at the library called “Best of 2017.” The librarians shared their favorite books. There are a lot of books I want to add to my TBR, but I’ve been putting it off.

Watching

Corey and I saw Black Panther this weekend. It’s definitely not what I was expecting. I can understand why a lot of people were disappointed. I still liked it, but it’s not my favorite MCU movie.

Reading

I finished reading The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan last night. I wasn’t sure I was going to like it, but it was very interesting.

Listening

I really enjoyed the music in Black Panther. Some of it reminds me of The Lion King, other parts remind me of the other Marvel movies, and one part reminds me of the famous Nokia ringtone. 😂

Blogging

I’ve almost run out of pre-written scheduled posts. I think my blog might be a little sparse for except for Top Ten Tuesday posts, reviews (maybe), and these Currently posts unless I can think of something else to say.

Feeling

I don’t know how to describe how I’m feeling right now. I feel severely depressed because of that horrid weekend I had almost a month ago. It has affected my entire way of life. I’m also extremely stressed. Work is crazy. We’re down so many people right now.

Loving

I’m loving my new lifestyle. I did keto for a year and I love 50 lbs. It was great. I’m just sick of eating all that meat. I’ve never been a huge meat fan. I’m kind of a picky eater. I’ll only eat meat if it’s prepared in certain ways. So, keto was really hard. When I first started keto, my doctor told me two diets work really well for people with metabolic disorders, which I have–keto and vegan. I decided to try a vegan diet. I’ve been eating vegan since last Saturday and I love it. Still no sugar, no processed foods if I can help it, and lower carbs if I can help it too. Hopefully, I’ll continue to see results while feeling great too.

Wanting

I want to dye my hair again, but I don’t want to deal with the upkeep. I need to decide what feeling wins out more.

Needing

I need new pants. I’ve lost at least another pants size. I can still wear the pants I have, but they’re capris and since it has finally decided to be winter, I need regular pants so I don’t freeze to death.

Watching

Izzy likes to be where Corey and I are. We’re in our bedroom right now. He’s on the bed using his laptop and I’m on the chair next to the bed using my laptop. She’s playing with three toys at once in front of the door to our bedroom while simultaneously running back and forth down the hall. She’s so crazy. I could watch her all day.

Reading

I’m reading A Wrinkle in Time. I’m not really immersed in the story yet, so I’ve decided to read a chapter a day until I’m done and reread Cinder since that will go by a lot faster.

Listening

Karen, from For What It’s Worth, shared this song a couple of weeks ago and I can’t get enough of it!

Blogging

I’m running out of things to blog about. I’m been trying really hard to blog Monday through Friday. I did it in January and I have enough posts scheduled for February, but I don’t know if I can keep it up for March. Do I keep racking my brain for things to post about or do I just post when inspiration hits?

Feeling

Corey and I went to San Francisco this past week. He had a business conference. I went for fun. We drove. We left Tuesday morning about 5:00am MST and arrived in San Francisco around 6:30pm PST. We had all day Wednesday and Thursday in the city and then left after his conference ended on Thursday during the height of rush hour traffic. 😩 Normally, Reno is 3ish hours away from San Francisco, we got to Reno at 12:00am PST on Thursday night/Friday morning because the traffic was so horrid. Needless to say, we stayed the night in Reno. We left Reno around 11:30am PST and got home around 8:30pm MST, so I’m a bit tired and I’ve been recouping all weekend from our vacation.

Loving

I love this picture I took of the Golden Gate Bridge on our way out of San Francisco. The lighting was perfect. I want to get it framed and hang it in my library.

Wanting

I want the weekend to last longer. Can it still be Friday night? Please! 😙

Needing

I need to come up with a list of books I want to read for book club this next year. Our new year starts in June, so we start voting in February. I only have two books so far. I’m having a hard time. Do you have any suggestions for me?
