Book Blogger Hop
This week’s Book Blogger Hop question is: Which do you prefer most: a printed book or an ereader?
I like both for different reasons. I love the feel and smell of a printed book. And, I love how my favorite ones look on my shelves. I also love my Kindle because I can get all the classics for free and I can carry hundreds of books with me at a time.
What about you?

This week’s Follow Friday question is: We always talk about books that WE want. Let’s turn it on its head. What books have you given other people lately?
The last book I gave to someone was Forest Born by Shannon Hale. It was for my book club’s Christmas book swap. However, if I had all the money in the world, I’d give a copy of Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson to so many of my friends that I know would love it and appreciate it as much as I did.

A Christmas swap with your book group sounds like so much fun
Great idea! Totally gonna try it with my book group this year!
What book have you given away @ The Brunette Librarian
I hope you enjoy it! It was a lot of fun. We kind of did it as a white elephant swap, but we didn’t choose white elephant gifts. That’s just how we did the exchange. I hope that makes sense, lol.
I love to see all my books on my bookshelves too!
Here’s My Answer

My Blog Hop Answer
Do you color coordinate yours or are they alphabetical by author or anything like that? Mine are just alphabetical by author in their corresponding series.
I think it’s nice that you do a book swap — and fun!
It was very fun!
I think it was the first time we did it. I can’t remember if we did it the year before, lol.
I have all my favorite authors is print but I also have tons of ebooks. I can read so much faster on my Kindle.

That’s the way I am too!
Well, then I wish you had all the money in the world because I really need to get my hands on that book!
Ha ha! You do need to get your hands on that book. I think you’d like it.
I wish there I could participate in a Christmas book swap.
Thanks for stopping by earlier, have a nice weekend!
I wish you could too.
I just read EDENBROOKE and really enjoyed it, even though it’s actually pretty generic and cliche. Oh well. It was a fun read!
I don’t mind if books are generic or cliche as long as I love the characters, which I did with Edenbrooke.
The biggest thing I’ve noticed with my eReader is struggling to gauge how much I have left- without the weight of the book and that tactile feedback. I do agree with you though about being able to carry a ton of books on at once on my Kindle.
I understand that completely. I like to see how many pages I have left, not just a bar with the percent. And, I like to see how many pages I have left in each chapter. It’s definitely a struggle with an ereader.
I like both my e-reader and physical copies. For quick romances or something that won’t be on my keeper shelf I like e-books. I also am more inclined to try more authors with the freebies and .99 downloads.
But for my favorites I like physical books. I know where my favorite passages are and I like to flip through. They are like friends to me.
if I had to choose it one it would always be the printed book.
As for what books I’ve loaned out recently. Mind Games and The Rules to a blogger friend.
I haven’t bought many .99 downloads. I’m worried I’ll end up spending a ton of money like I have on iTunes because I don’t realize I’m spending the money until I get the bill, lol.
