Beautiful Blogger Award

My friend Kayla and her sister Shauna, over at 1 + 1 = FUN, tagged me to receive the Beautiful Blogger Award. Thanks so much for passing this award on to me!

Kayla and Shauna have their own private blogs, but they felt like they were missing out on the fun that blogging can be.  They decided to start a public blog together–they didn’t want to maintain two blogs so they settled for maintaining one and a half blogs. Anyway, their blog is a lot of fun to read because they’re hilarious and they always interact with the reader, something I’m not very good at.  I definitely recommend checking it out!

The rules of the award are: list seven things about yourself, link back to the person that gave you the award, and pass the award on to seven other bloggers.

I’m going to attempt to tell you seven things about me that you don’t already know.  The key word in that previous sentence is attempt as you probably know more about me than you ever wanted to or thought possible.

  1. Even though I’m a cat lover, I’ve always wanted a small dog but not enough to not have a cat.
  2. I want to breed llamas.  If I ever get the chance, I’d name each llama with an L name and pronounce it like there’s a double L (e.g. L-larry or L-lucy), and I’d make my own yarn from them.  Until then, I’m content with naming the llamas in the surrounding neighborhoods.
  3. I love to play with Slinkies, but inevitably I always do something to get them tangled up.
  4. When I was nine, I dreamed that my brother-in-law Brett murdered my entire family.  I wouldn’t go near him for three months.
  5. I’m a scary movie junkie, but only if I’m not alone or won’t be alone within the following week.
  6. I didn’t learn how to whistle until I was in high school, and I still can’t whistle a tune because it’s barely more than just air being blown out of my mouth.
  7. I hate tire swings, or anything that spins in circles for that matter, because they make me sicker than a pregnant woman in her first trimester.

I tag the following seven bloggers:

  1. Andrea
  2. Aymee
  3. Brodi–You don’t have to post seven things about you because I know you still haven’t finished your list of 25 things.
  4. Christie
  5. Jenifer
  6. Luisa
  7. Rachel

The only thing I didn’t know what the llama thing— and that’s funny! Totally fits you! :)

*sniff* I guess I need to work on beautifying our blogs ;)

  2. Jenni Elyse says:

Don’t be sad. I like your blogs too. I just can only give the award to 7 people and I gave it to people who I’ve never given an award to (other than Brodi). Sorry. I still love you! :)

  3. Christie says:

Haha! I’m going to call you L-Lenni from now on! That’s too funny.

  4. Jenni Elyse says:

    Christie – Ha ha! I guess I should’ve expected that. ;)

  5. Violet says:

Llarry and Llucy llama! I love it! :-) I always liked Slinkies too, but I have never been to play with one without tangling it. Sadly, I seem to have passed that tendency onto my kids. Sorry to hear that tire swings make you queasy. I’d guess that means you are not a fan of carnival rides like the Octopus or the Scrambler either? What a scary dream to have when you were nine! I hate spooky dreams!

  6. Jenni Elyse says:

Violet – Maybe, your kids will outgrow the tangling Slinky phase like we didn’t. ;) I love roller coasters, but rides like the Octopus and the Scrambler do make me sick. I wish I could enjoy them, but alas.

  7. Jenifer says:

I didn’t know that you loved Llamas too! Did you know that I asked “ahem, begged” my dad for a llama when Corey and I were younger? I thought he was so mean because he wouldn’t buy me the one that was for sale in the classifieds! I love that you said something about the slinkies. Addison is LOVING them right now. She doesn’t know how to use them, she only knows how to get them tangled too!

  8. Jenni Elyse says:

Jen – I didn’t know you wanted a llama. Although, I remember you talking about that on your blog or Facebook recently. Llamas are the coolest animals ever!

  9. Debbie says:

Woah I am surprised there were a few things I actually didnt know about you. :)

  10. Jenni Elyse says:

Debbie – I’m surprised there’s still stuff people don’t know about me. I talk enough that I think everyone knows everything. Ha! :)

  11. Kayla says:

HOORAY for llamas!!! haha! I used to whistle really well, but then playing the flute kind of ruined my ability. My dad always used to say, “A whistling girl and a flock of sheep are the two best things a man can keep!”

  12. Jenni Elyse says:

Kayla – Your dad is awesome! He sounds like my kind of guy! :)

  13. Aymee says:

You’re so cute, you nominated me…what do I do? And Thanks. I like your facts, especially the creepy one about my Dad!!

  14. Jenni Elyse says:

Aymee – Just copy and post the picture, along with the rules which includes a link to my blog, and then post seven things about yourself. :) If you need more help, let me know. I figured you’d appreciate the mention about your dad. ;)
