Corey called our landlord on Saturday to find out if we could stay in our current place until November 1st, so we could move on a Saturday. He actually shocked Corey by allowing us to stay another week. This is awesome news because we found out we may not close until November 3rd.
The appraisal is being ordered, so it should take place Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday and then we’re having the inspection on Wednesday. Once the appraisal’s done, then it will go to the underwriter and the loan should fund within 48 hours. We’re pretty hopeful that we’ll close next week, but even if it’s the week after that, it’ll be just fine. ;) At this point, we’re planning to move on Saturday, November 8th.
That’s great that you don’t have to camp out in a hotel for a few days and that you can move on a Saturday. Here’s hoping that it is warm on the day you move.
