As most of you know, I’m a huge John Williams and Star Wars fan. My niece Amber sent me a link to this video a few days ago. I was quite surprised and happy to see the video version of a song I’d been singing to for over a year. Thanks to my co-worker Alan, I’ve had “Star Wars” (that’s the name of the song; I know, very original ;) ) on my iPod for over a year.
I was actually going to post this video sooner, but I kept getting side-tracked. My friend Kimberly posted it on her blog and reminded me that I hadn’t done it yet. Thanks, Kimberly! ;)
Anyway, the guy in the video (Corey Vidal) is just lip synching and isn’t the actual composer of the song. He did an awesome job at making it look like he sung all four parts to the song, didn’t he? ;) The song was written by an a capella group called Moosebutter. You can find “Star Wars” on Moosebutter’s album See Dee. Moosebutter actually gave their blessing to Corey to do the video because of all the attention. I’m not sure how long this information’s going to be available. For now, you can read about it on their website.
PS–Moosebutter has a “Harry Potter” song that’s sung to the tune of “Pretty Woman” too. I don’t think it’s as good, but it’s still a lot of fun.
