A New Bookish Tradition

While Corey was at his conference in San Francisco last week, I bummed around the city a little bit. One of my favorite places is Ghirardelli Square because of the little shops they have there. I stopped off in one of the shops called Lola because it made me think of LOLA AND THE BOY NEXT DOOR, which I adore. ❤

I normally buy magnets when I travel, but I don’t really have a place to put my magnets anymore and since I’ve been to San Francisco a few times, I already own several magnets from previous trips. As I walked around the store, deciding what, if anything, to purchase I came across a couple of bookmarks. I thought to myself, “Why buy magnets when I could buy bookmarks? A bookish person never has too many bookmarks, right? Right! Plus, these bookmarks are super cute!” I also found another bookmark at the Golden Gate Bridge gift shop, so I came home with three new ones.

I love when new traditions are born. I’m excited to start collecting bookmarks from the places I travel. Now, I just need to plan some more trips! 😊

Do you have any bookish traditions when you travel?

I love it! When I went on my Mediterranean cruise I collected jewelry from each city because I couldn’t decide what to get. SMH. Duh! Bookmarks!!! I can’t believe I didn’t think of it but I’m going to start getting them now whenever I travel somewhere.
