I Belong

I guess I belong in 1997.  I guess that sounds accurate.

You Belong in 1997

With you, anything goes! You’re grunge one day, ghetto fabulous the next. It’s all good!

What Year Do You Belong In?

No Breaking Dawn Spoilers

Before I say anything, as I said in my previous post, I won’t post any Breaking Dawn spoilers for at least a week.  On Saturday, or some time around then, I’ll post my favorite moments from the series and Breaking Dawn.

My friends and I went to a midnight party at BYU.  I’m glad we did because it was a lot less busy than other midnight parties I’ve been to.  Plus, the people there were mostly college kids and adults, so I didn’t feel too “old” to be there.

Before the party, my friends and I had a party of our own in one of the conference rooms for a couple of hours.  We ate yummy food, played games, reminisced about being in Forks a few days earlier, and how excited we were for Breaking Dawn.

Around 10:00 pm, we got in line outside the BYU bookstore and played Twilight-themed Apples to Apples.  My friend Kayla created it with her family.  It’s a lot of fun if you’re a Twilight fan.

When the bookstore opened at 11:00 pm, we got in line for our books.  Some of the group had signed up to participate in the “Cullenary Café” by donating blood.  However, the wait was two hours, so they didn’t get a chance.  A little after midnight, and I mean like 12:03 am, we all had our books! I stayed up reading until I couldn’t any longer and went to bed around 2:30 am.

I finally finished Breaking Dawn last night.  It ended up taking a little longer to read than I expected because I wanted to savor every moment of it, and I was also trying to spend some time with Corey over the weekend. I absolutely love Breaking Dawn! It’s my favorite of the series. I just loved how it brought me back to the way I felt when I read Twilight for the first time, which is something I missed a lot when I read New Moon and Eclipse.  I loved the conflict in Breaking Dawn because I loved not feeling anxious like I did while reading New Moon and Eclipse.  However, now having read Breaking Dawn, I can appreciate New Moon and Eclipse better.

Forks Forum Update

I checked out the Forks Forum after one of my friends said that they updated the article, so it was accurate.  I’m very glad they fixed the information because all the ladies I met there were awesome and I wanted them to be acknowledged too.

As for Breaking Dawn, I’m still reading it and I’m enjoying it so far.  I’m reading it quickly because, despite my overwhelming curiosity and anxiety, I don’t want to be spoiled.  I’ll post my thoughts on the book as soon as I’m finished.  However, I’ll refrain from posting any spoilers for at least a week.  I don’t want to ruin the experience for anyone else either.

Another Newspaper Article About the SLTA

My friends and I were mentioned in another newspaper article.  The Salt Lake Tribune released an article about how Utahns have been affected by vampire romances.  I think it’s so neat that my friends Danylle and Kimberly were quoted and mentioned by name.

I know a lot of you think I’m crazy for being so obsessed with a book series or meeting people online who liked Twilight too.  But, honestly, it’s so much more than that.  I have such a great friendship with these women.  We share so much in common; Twilight just brought us together.  I’m so grateful to Stephenie Meyer for creating Twilight, so I could have a chance to meet my friends!
