Dramatic Tarsier

About a month ago, Corey and I were watching KUED and a special about tarsiers came on. As you all know, I’m a nut when it comes to animals. But, the coolest thing about this animal is that I’d seen it before in a video Corey showed me about six months ago.

Isn’t he awesome? If I knew it wouldn’t kill him or stress him out, as almost all tarsiers in captivity die because of too much stress, I’d want him as a pet.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

Prince Caspian PosterCorey and I went to see Prince Caspian tonight. First, Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian) is hot! Second, the fight scenes, action sequences, and graphics were amazing! Now, on to more important things.

I enjoyed the movie very much, even though it wasn’t as religious to the book as the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was. It’s so cool that I can say that since I read all the books less than six months ago.

My only disappointment with the movie is that Aslan wasn’t in the movie as much as he was in the book. The way the movie was portrayed, so the story could last 2.5 hrs, was very good. However, of course, some liberties were taken with the story that weren’t true to the book. Because of that, Aslan didn’t really show up in the movie until there was only 20 minutes left. Since he’s my favorite character of the entire series, I was a bit sad.

Other than that one disappointment, I enjoyed having Prince Caspian come to life as it’s my favorite of the series. I especially enjoyed seeing Reepicheep on screen. He always made me laugh in the books and he’s no different in the movie. I was so excited when I knew it was him fighting stealthily in the grass. I also loved the music with the soft horns playing every time the mice were up to something. I thought it gave their characters a nice touch.

Exclusive Twilight Movie Clip

An exclusive clip of the Twilight movie was aired on the MTV Movie Awards tonight. This is the first completed scene in the Twilight movie. Even though the scene isn’t exactly what I pictured while reading the book, I’m still really excited to see the movie! Too bad it’s not December yet!

If I weren’t in the middle of reading 10 or so books right now, I’d read the Twilight series again too. Alas, I must read the others first. (I’m not reading 10 books at one time; I’ve just borrowed seven and I have a few more slated because of my book club.)
