Prince Caspian CoverI just finished reading Prince Caspian: The Return to Narnia by CS Lewis. It’s the fourth book in The Chronicles of Narnia series.

I know I said The Horse and His Boy was my favorite of the series so far, but I have to take that back now. I really enjoyed reading Prince Caspian: The Return to Narnia and I enjoyed the story so much more than The Horse and His Boy. I loved that all the Pevensies were back in the story as children. I loved the interaction between all the characters and the introduction of the new characters (i.e., Caspian, Reepicheep, Trumpkin).

Even though the children left Narnia almost as quickly as they did in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, for some reason it didn’t seem as abrupt to me. I think it’s because Peter and Susan talked to Edmund and Lucy about leaving before they actually left. I’m sad that Peter and Susan won’t be in any of the other books, but I’m glad it’s them rather than Edmund and Lucy.

My rating:
