Last Friday, I went to a party my co-workers Erin and Becky hosted. The theme was “The 80s.” 8O
As you can tell by the above pictures, we were supposed to dress up in an 80s style outfit, which proved harder than expected. I’ve tried to stray away from the 80s as much as possible, so finding something to wear and transforming it for the worse was quite a chore. I used one of Corey’s shirts and tied it in a knot; wore my only pair of jeans which aren’t very 80s, but I pegged them to make them more 80s; did my hair kind of Billy Idol-ish because my hair is too short (and not permed) to do anything else; wore really dark purple eye shadow, dark blush, and bright fuschia lipstick; wore huge hoop earrings; and, I wore two pairs of socks. All in all, it turned out pretty good.
A lot of my co-workers came and we had a lot of fun. :D At the party, we played 80s-themed games, such as 80s Guitar Hero, Name that Tune (80s Edition), Mystery Date, and Connect Four. I suck at Guitar Hero because I’m not coordinated enough to strum and press the fret buttons at the same time. Surprisingly, I did okay at Name that Tune.
PS–Corey was a party pooper and wouldn’t go because of the theme. Supposedly, he grew up in the 80s and he doesn’t want to experience them again.
